Hello Dean,
A reminder of what Dean typed on:

Do you have any IMAP accounts?

D One, haven't had any noticeable problems.

That is odd. If I go to read a message in an IMAP account with MS Security
Essentials active, it seems to scan each message for a prolonged period before
I
can read it.

It could be a cache program I am using O-O Clever Cache it stores most of my
memory in ram. I am also running 64 bit OS and Cache program. Everything
seemed to speed up after using the cache program. The program has increased my
ram usage from 1 g to 6 g out of 8 g of ram. Very little is held in a disk
cache.

Windows 7 and The Bat!

2010-01-05 Thread Stuart Cuddy
Hello AllĀ ,

I have 2 computers with Windows 7 and when using The Bat I find that things
have
become extremely slow. I initially see things on start-up of The Bat, as it
takes considerably longer for any mail to appear. Once the messages start to
appear they then seem to take longer to load once they are selected.

Anyone else seeing this? Both computers were running XP. Both are using
AntiSpam
Sniper. One uses the same Virus scanner, but the other is using MS Security
Essentials.

Isn't FUBAR a bit generic and unhelpful? What's wrong with the address book and
please provide your links into bug tracker. If I find the same I will support

The moderators don't stop mail. When you're bad, we send trouts to the

because you're not able to send a message.

OK, I have a partial solution. On the computer that I am using MS Security Essentials, if I turn off checking of The Bat's mail directory the speed goes back to normal. Again, I have no problem with using Avast.

Anyone else using MS Security Essentials?

I haven't had any trouble with my address book. You might want to ask what

In all regards for me, TB 4.2.18 is running fine, as well (this added
