Re[2]: Number of accounts / limit ?
Hello Norbert, CW The same happens if I delete and set it up as a new account again. CW Anyone else had the same problem ? NL no - I'm using exactly the same surrounding - I have about 20 accounts NL running with no problem - and I just checked: even if I make another NL one, change the pop server entry, close down TB, restart it... it's NL as it should be (the changed pop server setting still there) Hmmm ok thanks for the reply - bit of an odd one this then :-} Mine keeps the server, login and p/word but only as long as TB remains open - closing it down and reopening it loses them again... NL maybe an active virus scanner or some other security software which NL inhibits changes on *.cfg files? Not that I know of, but i`ll check it out - I don`t think I have anything in there that I need to keep hold of, so I might delete it and re-import it from a backup, see if that retains the data as i`d expect... -- Best regards, Colinmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello, NL maybe an active virus scanner or some other security software which NL inhibits changes on *.cfg files? Further to my previous post, I... created a backup of the account deleted the original account rebooted (TB won`t close if it checks that account) disabled my virus software, ...and restored the backup. The account settings are still missing, but were there then I backed up the account :-} I wonder... does anyone fancy trying my backup to see if it does actually contain the account details ? (its simply a throwaway newsgroup spamtrap, so no great security worries over the password becoming known) - there`s only one post in there about a DVD hack -- Best regards, Colinmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re[2]: Number of accounts / limit ?
Hello Alexander, CW I`m still having a problem where I have 8 accounts, and the last CW one to be added will not remember its settings. AL Well, for Win98 it is NOT permissions problem, probably - path to AL account home? Or R/O (for some reason) account.cfg? I`ve deleted and reconfigured the account from scratch, the file flags are all set the same (archive bit only), and i`ve even moved the mail directory from one partition to another. It still loses the settings :-} -- Best regards, Colinmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
