Bug in BAT V.1.30

1999-12-09 Thread Yuri S. Bosykh

When You create mail folder and drag drop some messages there - all
OK.
But next start of BAT - You can't see created folders. Hovewer folders
exist, and messages inside too, but folders don't display on the screen.

When You can try to create again the folders with the same name You can
see it.

I downloaded two different ones from that site yesterday. Today I
downloaded form the official site
ftp.ritlabs.com/pub/the_bat/the_bat.exe, so not the beta site,
because Stefan mumbled something about a new helpfile. On the beta
site, you get only the executable, whereas the official site has a
self-extracting file.

Creation times of the 1.38 that I have downloaded:
yesterday 03:xx, yesterday 08:xx, yesterday 16:51. Times according to
ftp server.

2 different questions: 1. Filtering-Wildcards? 2. Mutiple Users

1999-12-09 Thread Alex Glickman

Hi everyone, We're evaluating TheBat! (1.38) on our LAN (5 Win98
machines+NT Server). Two questions:

1. Is it possible for TWO (or more) users WITHOUT the admin rights to
access the same account at the same time?

2. Is it possible to filter messages based on some kind of a
*wildcard* criteria (e.g. move ALL messages arriving to a certain
account to another mailbox, irrespective of who the message comes from
etc.)

well... the 3rd one: when version 2.x will be available, will the
registered users have to pay to upgrade? (i.e. whether we should wait
for 2.x or register 1.38 now?)

Thank you in advance,

Regards,

Alex Glickman

Go to the View menu and choose Display, then make sure that "all
messages" is selected. Also try the cntrl++ command. This will work if
your messages are there but not visible, if you're in the right
folder. You could also send yourself a message, receive it and run a
search for it to see where your incoming mail is winding up. Have you
done any filtering? Deleting is a filter option, of course.

Get it if you want to use the International support... E.g. menus
in Russian, or Spanish, or whatever. It's not the substitute for
TB itself, it's just addition... It isn't updated very often, just when
the bugs are found. You can use it until RIT labs tell you the
new one is out. It's not version-specific.

*.lng file is updated more often, it's just a part of Intpack. It
contains *actual* string resources for the foreign languages
supported (if you understand what I mena:-)). But you'll need
Intpack itself to use *.lng file...

The size of Intpack is due to the number of foreign languaages
currently supported, it's growth in size is therefore inevitable
too.

There was a long and detailled discussion about it on this list in
October. Please check out the archive at

subject "Autoformat".
