Personally, I've disabled the animated icon since it cannot be made to selectively animate. It will animate once there's an unread message anywhere and this setup I find to be very limited in scope. It would be nice to be able to make it animate on a per account and per folder basis, pretty much like the sounds. The ticker is more useful. You can set it to appear for unread messages on a per folder basis and also based on message ages. In this way I've configured things so that the ticker appears only when personal messages to me arrive. Never for list or other subscription based mail. I've configured the ticker to use a small font and made it as narrow as possible. It is therefore quite unobtrusive and only serves as an indicator that I have personal mail to read. - -- ©Allie C Martin (_ List Moderator and fellow end user __) TB! v1.54 Beta/46 & WinXP Home Ed. If they do things the way you want them to, soon you'll be hearing some hollering that the cursor is ripped from their control when they are trying to quote snippets in sequence and that the editor is trying to think for them. There is a disadvantage, however: For e.g. mailinglists where you receive emails every few minutes but like to check them only once in a while, it will get annoying to always here the sound, especially because you don't know if it is a personal email or one from the mailinglist. You can disable the sound for certain folders, that works fine, but as far as I know it is not possible to disable the animated icon for certain folders only. So my solution was to mark new messages in these high traffic mailinglists as read immediately, so that the animated icon still shows me when new personal mail has arrived. This disadvantage is that now I can't see in the mailinglist folder which emails are new and which ones not. Is there a better solution? New User -- Question About Reply Editor
I'm trying to size the window that shows the message that I'm replying to. I drag the bar down to make the window show more lines. But each time I click on reply to reply to another message, it seems to default (or go back to) it's former, too narrow, size. Is there a way to make it "stick?" Thanks. -- Larry Using The Bat! v1.53d on Windows NT 5.1 Build 2600 -- Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Vers: 1.53d FAQ: http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com

In certain degree TB! can handle MIME Digest without problem, I subscribe some list in MIME digest. IIRC OE and Pegasus also support it as well. -- syafril === "Syafril Hermansyah"<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Vers: 1.53d FAQ: http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com
