I have a yahoo list now that for some reason is dumping

Order of filters is very important. They execute in the order they are
displayed. If you have the known rule enabled, and a member of the yahoo list
mails to that list, the known rule will kick in *before* the yahoo list filter
*if* the yahoo filter list comes under the known rule. Try moving the yahoo
list filter above the known rule. Also look for other filters that match on
address book items, and try moving them below the yahoo list filter. One of the
easiest things I've found when doing filtering is to stick high use
lists/contacts right at the top, saves processing power (not that it uses much),
and saves miss-filtering in a lot of cases. For example, my TBUDL filter is the
first on my list. I wouldn't want it to match any of my other filters, so it's
the first. My second filter (IIRC, it's at work, so it's from memory) is mail
from the servers I maintain, then it does some of the other lists I'm on, then
spam, then some more lists (I know the order is odd here, but the second set of
lists get a lot of spam), then known. Anything that hasn't matched yet is
dumped into known.

Hope this gives you an idea :)

Running The Bat! Version 1.60m on Windows 98 Build

Marck,

You'll have to temporarily turn it off. It is completely *unnecessary*
to have the interactive scanner running for the plug-in to work.

You're right. Apparently there was an argument going on as to which
was getting to examine the e-mail first. When I disabled the resident
shield, the plug-in notified me when I received the virus. And when I
re-enabled the shield (with the *same* settings), the plug-in still
announced the arrival of the virus.

Thanks!

I disagree. The hardest part about regular expressions is learning
the syntax. Once you understand the symbols, regular expressions
become easier than most programming languages. The difficulty
with most regular expressions is that they are not formatted for
readability. Unfortunately, splitting up the regular expression into
more human readable parts depends to some degree on the reader's

BBT There are 1000-page books on regular expressions and
BBT that's about the only way to learn what you can do with them.

These lists are also contain some amazing teachers.

BBT I can't even begin to explain the regular expression

The one above isn't as complex as it looks, but it is easy to get lost

appropriate forum.

Yes.
Check on 'Content-Type:text/html' in the kludges and use as action to
extract the attachments (that's what the html-part is) to a directory,
use the same folder to start a batch file (run external program) that
deletes all html-files in the aforementioned directory.

Where did you find/get such a font?

I looked under Options|Preferences|Viewer Tab with no luck.

%COMPANY Macro?

2002-06-09 Thread Andy Fluke

Hi folks,

I'm working on a mass mailing and I would like to insert the
recipient's Company name into the text. However when I use %COMPANY
only a blank space appears in each of the emails. I have made sure
that the recipient's Company name does exist under the business tab of
the Address entry.

Is %COMPANY a valid macro? If not, how would I insert the Company
name into the mass mail template? If it is valid, what could be
happeneing?

Thanks for your help!

Andy Fluke

Thanks, it works with %quotes, but I have been using this
template since 1.42, and I have never needed the %quotes
