Re[2]: iPac Sync
Hi Ricardo, RM Hi Ricardo: RvE I just heard that everyone at our company is getting an Compaq iPaq RvE 1915. Main reason of course, so we all can sync our e-mail and RvE agenda/appointments with our laptops and so on. But I'm one of few RvE who's not using LookOut. Does anyone know if its possible to sync RvE with The Bat!? Plugings, third party software, what ever... The RvE iPaq runs Windows CE. RM I have not heard/confirmed the possibility to sync theBat! with RM PocketPC's. RM I have heard of the ability to sync theBat! with Palm Software (see RM threads on 8/11 and 8/13). However, one concern for Palm Users was the RM inability to sync to folders other than the Inbox. Given that one of RM theBat!'s main features is filtering e-mails to folders, the inability RM sync particular folders was a great disappointment. (A bat newbie tries his wings) - I'm not using a Palm - but I think this might help. If the sync to the Inbox folder will move the message from the Palm to the Inbox folder on the PC, then you can easy re-filter the Inbox on the PC (right click on the Inbox and select 'Re-filter Messages' ) RM There are several other Bat! users who want/need this functionality to RM sync theBat! mails with PocketPc's. Every so often I do a Google RM search to see if someone has worked on this a project that would sync RM theBat! with PocketPCs. So far, no luck. If and when I come across any RM info, I will post it. Let us know if you come across any solutions. That would be a good way of filtering mail from the Palm to the Desktop Inbox. Something one would do if you collected mail while on the road. However, if you would like to filter you mail into different folders and have that structure with you on your PDA, then the current Palm solution is not viable. You would also need a choice of which folders you would want to sync. mailto problem
I just downloaded the evaluation version of The Bat. So far I'm very impressed and am seriously considering purchase. But I have a problem that must be solved before I can continue. Every time I click on a e-mail link on a web page, exactly 50 new browser windows are opened in just a few seconds. I'm using MSIE 5 on Win2000 Pro SP3. A. I have The Bat set as default email client B. I have one account checked as default for mailto URLs C. In options-preferences-applications I have the mailto box checked and have clicked on the associate button. (all other boxes are check) D. The button to Install The Bat as the Simple MAPI request handler has been clicked E. The box checking to see if The Bat is default email client on startup has been checked. F. Removed HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\DDEExec. from my registry and rebooted. (advice from Yevgeniy Kruglov) G. Have repeated step C and D after regedit. Still no change. Please help me solve this odd situation. Thanks -- Craig [EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 1.62r | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Interesting. I'm using ZA and having problems too, but I've learned to live with it. After you delete the config and all the necessary programs had been entered, did TB work fine with ZA? Re: Beta version features
Hello David, Be careful, one of the features of the beta version seems to be to wipe out any IMAP mailboxes you might have (seemingly because v1.6x didn't implement them properly. Yep, until the next time ZA's config got corrupted. Happened quite a few times for me. Most of the time creating problems with other programs than TB, since TB only connects local on my system. (Local mailserver.) But I've switched to Kerio and don't regret that. -- Groetjes, Roelof Current version is 1.62r | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re[2]: Beta version features
Hello Greg, It is not a matter of looking at Stefan's note - not everyone will have seem it if they come in on beta3 for example, but sherr lack of thought for the user. I could not conceive writing a program which would DELETE a users mailboxes on IMAP without at least a warning. Shows a lack of professionalism - or lack of concern for the users. -- Regards, Davidmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Sunday, August 24, 2003, 10:35:45 PM, you wrote: GS Hello David, Be careful, one of the features of the beta version seems to be to wipe out any IMAP mailboxes you might have (seemingly because v1.6x didn't implement them properly.
