Sometimes I want to be able to collect my e-mail on the Palm, deal
with it, and then when I get back home update my desktop with both the
 send and received mail.

kg I don't think there is a way to do what you are asking, but I had the
kg same desire, and here is how I dealt with it:

kg First off, make sure you are leaving a copy of messages on the server
kg when you check your mail with your PDA.

kg In VersaMail, there is an option to Bcc all outgoing messages to a
kg certain account. Don't put the same address that the account is based
kg on here. Logically, you should be able to Bcc yourself, but for some
kg reason VersaMail doesn't like this (I've had problems). I enter a
kg different e-mail account here. All mail sent from this account will
kg also send a copy to the account I entered.

kg In The Bat, I set up a filter to process all of the received copies of
kg my 'Sent from VersaMail' messages and route them to the corresponding
kg Sent Mail folder.

kg This isn't perfect - and the time/date stamps are often messed up
kg (VersaMail can't adjust for this), but it works.

kg Hope this helps.

Thanks for that Ken. I'm going to give it a go and see how I get on.

It is just a shame they don't do a version of The Bat for the Palm.

It means that thebat.dutaint.com's mail server attempted to send the
list to your ISP's server and either 1] Your mailbox at your ISP was
full and bounced the mail back to the initiating server or 2] There
was a problem with your ISP's mail server that caused it not to
process the list and bounced the mail.

In any case after xxx amount of bounces the sending server determined
that your ISP was not properly processing the mail and ceased any
further attempt to send any messages (based on bounce history).
Not sure about this server but some, again based on bounce history,
unsubscribe the subscriber forcing one to resubscribe to the list.

If you don't need IMAP (not working perfectly yet as I read, but

Question about account template execution

2003-10-24 Thread George Mitchell
Hi All,

I have an account that multiple email addresses route into. When I
reply to a message in that account I want the From address of the
reply to be the address the original email was sent to, which is not
necessarily the account's default address. I use the following reply
template:

 Begin Template
%SETPATTREGEXP=(?i)[EMAIL PROTECTED]%-
%_TO_ADDR=%REGEXPMATCH='%OTOLIST, %OCCLIST'%-
%IF:%_TO_ADDR:%FROM=''%FROM='%_TO_ADDR':%-
Hi %OFromFName,

%CURSOR%-
%QUOTES%-

signature
 End Template

It appears that the recipient list of the reply is being calculated
before the From address change. For example, assume the account's
default address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I get an email:

From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

If I do a reply to all, the From field of the reply will be correctly
set to [EMAIL PROTECTED] instead of [EMAIL PROTECTED]. However,
the CC field will also contain [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Had the default
address been in the CC field, it would have been stripped from the
reply.

My questions are:

Is there a way I can have TB! automatically remove the new contents of
the From field instead of the default?

Is there a better/easier way to go about this?

If you made it this far, thanks. It's about as coherent as I could
make it.
