Perhaps I'm experiencing the same thing you are. I think that we are indeed experiencing the same thing. I am old, and I can't recall registering there, but I most probably did--late in 2002 when I first got The Bat! At that time I had a Compaq 4540 with 2.99 GB hard drive and Win95B as the OS. My domain and ISP were the same, Premiernet. This company has now gone out of business. And I've moved to a different city, with a new computer (well, new since December 2003), a new ISP, and a new e-mail address. I haven't a clue what I might have chosen as my user name and password at Bug Tracker. I was pretty green then, paranoid also, and made up all sorts of passwords without writing them down anywhere. So, effectively I'm disenfranchised. And I guess you are, too. PN Maybe someone else who is reading this thread will add it for us. I hope so. As I look at this exchange between us, I'm thinking the problem deserves a new thread. I'm going to see if I can craft a new subject line for it. And just did. The Bat migration problems
Is there a way to change the created date in a message? I moved from pmmail to thebat and imported my messages. I used to sort by received date/time, but the import process mangles that (any suggestions for that, btw?). Now, I have several message that were sent at various times in the future. g Finally, instead of going to the top message in a group, thebat takes me to somewhere else -- for some folders it's the last message, for some it's somewhere in the middle. Cannot display Inbox messages
This just started tonight. All of a sudden I cannot display any of the Inbox messages in the message auto view window. When I click on the Inbox folder, the other two windows are empty. The Inbox contains 1,134 messages as shown in the account tree window. I can click on any other subfolder and display its contents. The fetch function is running extremely slow. I have shut off all of the Bat!'s virus functions. I tried turning off the McAfee virus checker and the ZoneAlarm firewall. No help. I tried Refresh Folders. No help. If I try to compress the database it hangs and I need to use ctrl-alt-del to exit it. It only occurs on one of the two accounts on that computer. However, the fetch function is slow on both accounts.
