Can't Register at Bug Tracker [was Re: shortcut for Mail Ticker]

PN permit me to do so. Perhaps I'm experiencing the same thing you are.

I think that we are indeed experiencing the same thing. I am old, and
I can't recall registering there, but I most probably did--late in
2002 when I first got The Bat!

At that time I had a Compaq 4540 with 2.99 GB hard drive and Win95B as
the OS. My domain and ISP were the same, Premiernet. This company has
now gone out of business. And I've moved to a different city, with a
new computer (well, new since December 2003), a new ISP, and a new
e-mail address.

I haven't a clue what I might have chosen as my user name and password
at Bug Tracker. I was pretty green then, paranoid also, and made up
all sorts of passwords without writing them down anywhere.

So, effectively I'm disenfranchised. And I guess you are, too.

PN Maybe someone else who is reading this thread will add it for us.

I hope so.

As I look at this exchange between us, I'm thinking the problem
deserves a new thread. I'm going to see if I can craft a new subject
line for it.

And just did. Any suggestions for what Perry and I can do about this?

Actually, I have a few different, personal, email accounts which only

Right, sorry for not being clear. So far, the virtual folders have not
given me any problems at all. I believe Ebay has been doing strange
things with their programming. I can submit a bid on an item, but if I
try to click on 'ask seller a question' I get a cookie message which
is bogus. When I repeatedly asked their Help desk about this problem,
they keep giving me the same answer, check with Opera and enable your
cookies. Horsehocky! (as Garibaldi says) There's no problem with my
cookies. I think they just don't like Opera users, preferring to
program in the universe of MS. It all used to work fine until they
updated their site. I am using Opera 7.51.

The Bat migration problems

moved from pmmail to thebat and imported my messages. I used to sort

it's somewhere in the middle. Is there a way to reset this? I have

You can export the messages to UNIX format, edit the dates and then
import the altered versions. This is the best way so that no other
headers are deleted or altered.

TB! takes you to the last message you were viewing in the folder
before you moved to another message. Currently there are no options to
make you always go to a set location in the folder upon selecting it.

Cannot display Inbox messages

2004-06-28 Thread Al Jacobus
This just started tonight. All of a sudden I cannot display any of the
Inbox messages in the message auto view window. When I click on the
Inbox folder, the other two windows are empty. The Inbox contains
1,134 messages as shown in the account tree window. I can click on any
other subfolder and display its contents. The fetch function is
running extremely slow. I have shut off all of the Bat!'s virus
functions. I tried turning off the McAfee virus checker and the
ZoneAlarm firewall. No help. I tried Refresh Folders. No help. If I
try to compress the database it hangs and I need to use ctrl-alt-del
to exit it. It only occurs on one of the two accounts on that
computer. However, the fetch function is slow on both accounts.

Any help would be wonderful. We use The Bat! in our business and right
now we are shut down.

I know we are running an old version, but don't need the functions of
Version 2 so we are staying with the old one for now.

It will sort the threads according to which threads contain the most
recent messages. I sort in descending order of dates so the threads
containing the most recent messages are grouped at the bottom of the
list.

How does it affect non-threaded folders?

It doesn't.
