As I mentioned earlier, have you kept messages on server for the last 10 years, and TB has to download 1 million headers first to check whether the messages have already been downloaded? -- Cheers, Thomas. Re: Hotkeys for expanding/collapsing threads?
Hello Tom, you wrote: > is this what you are looking for? > https://www.ritlabs.com/en/support/tips-and-tricks/3831/ Thanks! That pointed me in the right direction! Workspace/toolbars/customize/[shortcuts tab] looks like what I was trying to find. When I have a chance to look around in those options, I'm sure I'll find many of the useful shortcuts I've been looking for. I've been using this great email client for so long (since v1.x), and my usage has evolved in so many directions over time, I can sometimes lose track of where to look when I want to get back to some options I haven't used in a while. This happens to me periodically, and it seems to be related only to accounts of a certain host. Not the same host always, but when it happens, the accounts that are hanging are all of the same one. The latest problem is occurring with the two I have on small orange. Tomorrow, it may not hang up, but today it did. I am not on Win10 so the MsMpEng.exe is not the problem here. -- Best Regards, Maggie http://www.OurCabinOnTheCreek.com Fear is a form of alertness. -Computer, from Aurora Current version is 9.1.18 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

One thing you might want to check is if there's some program that's hogging CPU time. Move your cursor down into the task bar and right-click. Then click on TASK MANAGER. When it comes up click on the header POWER USAGE to get the most hungry app to the top. (My apologies if you're already familiar with this). Microsoft automatically runs a program called "Anti Malware Service Executable" (MsMpEng.exe). It's an anti-malware program which has lately (on my computer) become VERY demanding of CPU time. I have begun to have constant problems with this program freezing my computer until it releases the CPU. It has high priority and cannot be made lower priority. Just a thought. +++ Thank you both for your replies, But nothing is working! EMails checked every minute for the past 6 years without any issue at all. I even cleared the INBOX/SENT BOX but the problem still persists. Even with 25,000 emails in the INBOX, it was working perfectly. Attached is a screen shot of the CONNECTION CENTRE window.
