IMAP issue with attachments
TheBat-users, Since I can see in Mantis that work has commenced on IMAP, I write to see if others have this problem. I am not running the newest version as I refuse to upgrade before IMAP improves. Remote Outbox. I create a new mail and write some text. This is an HTML mail but I am pretty sure it doesn't matter. Add an attachment. After some time, I get the error below (when auto-save kicks in): --- Edit Mail Message -> ("recipient") --- --- OK --- Try to save mail but I cannot (neither Save nor Save message as draft). I try to close the mail window and then just say yes to keep existing copy and then I get this (this messaging window was open): --- Edit Mail Message -> The Bat User List --- Access violation at address 00BD9DE3 in module 'thebat.exe'. Read of address --- OK --- Opened the original message again from the Outbox, wrote some more and then got: --- Edit Mail Message --- Access violation at address 00BD9DE3 in module 'thebat.exe'. Read of address --- OK --- IMAP + remote outbox + attachments = trouble here (I think this is fully reproducible - I have seen this a hundred times). You can have server-side filtering and local filtering. If you retrieve message structures with message headers you can filter on some thing but in order to filter on contents in the text of the mail you need to synchronize Headers and text. Maybe you just want headers or maybe you want the full message. Re: Exchange help
Alexander, Quoting Alexander Kunz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: The MAPI mode of TB looks like a mixture between IMAP and POP3. It finds the serverside folder structure, but it downloads the messages into a local cache as it seems, or whatever. This was my feeling as well. I think Ritlabs have quite some nerve to call it Exhange protocol. Anyone would think it would behave like Outlook which of course, it doesn't at all. I haven't found the same in MAPI accounts (and didn't bother to check either I must admit, because IMAP is so much better). I agree regardign IMAP, but IMAP - for some ridiculous reason - has been disallowed at my work. Exchange help
Hello I am new to the Exchange protocol (I have been accessing the Exchange server at work via IMAP and here it works as expected. However, IMAP is no premitted at my work), so a couple of things puzzle me: If I manipulate mail (move, delete, etc) in Outlook 2003, the manipulations carry over to TB. But if I manipulate in TB, the manipulations do not carry over to Outlook. Why? Why do mail in the Outbox not carry over between profiles? If I select "Delete from server" when having fetched mail, will the mail also be deleted from Outlook? Is the TB Exchange protocol broken? I have set up Exchange in TB to use the profile I use in Outlook and leave mail on the server. -- Peter Fjelsten Current version is 3.95.06 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

It appears that if you reply to just one person, there are n additional lines. If you add another person to that message there are n+x extra lines. X != 1. Things you might want to consider if you decide to extend the macro: * People (like me) might be using the "greeting type based on time of day" which decides with stands in front on the list of names. Therefore you should possibly not add any type of greeting. Also, the fixed "hi all" might not be fitting if you also answer mail to non-English-speaking people? * Maybe another possible extension could be to also greet people in the CC field in parentheses - like Hello Bill (Bob, John)? I really like the aka: bit. -- Best regards Peter Fjelsten 3.0.1.33 Pro ~18 POP3, 1 IMAP (MailMax 5.5) & 1 IMAP (Exchange 6.5), 175K msgs. Help with RegExp
TheBat-users, This may belong to tbtech, but it appears to be quite simple RegExp (although it is over my head). I am having a person knowledgeable of RegExp help me with some RegExp, I want to do in TB! The thing is that he does not know how TB! works. I have a mail which contains some order lines and I want to be able to extract the information from those. An example: === 2 x Jetfin (SP-Jetfins) = 2.000dkk Størrelse XL Farve Sort 1 x Solaris (ST-Solaris) = 650dkk 2 x Transporttaske (DTD-Taske) = 700dkk === The problem is that the prices are total prices, i.e. the price of the "Jetfins" is 1.000dkk a pair. So the price must be divided by the ordered amount. But the price _may_have_ a . for easier reading (I know this should be an , in English) and you cannot make a calculation 2.000/2 in TB! because 2.000 is not a number. How can I match the number, removing any . in the process? Trying to match e.g. 240dkk and 1.100dkk - using: 1) %SetPattRegExp='(?i-s)(\d+(?=dkk))' 240dkk => 240 1.100dkk => no_match 2) %SetPattRegExp='(?i-s)\d(?=\.)(\d+(?=dkk))' 240dkk => no_match 1.100dkk => no_match Please help. TIA. -- Best regards Peter Fjelsten 3.0.1.33 Pro ~18 POP3, 1 IMAP (MailMax 5.5) & 1 IMAP (Exchange 6.5), 150K msgs. I have set the key <'> to move to the next unread message (PowerPro translates this to the different keystrokes I have set in TB!). This does not interfere with quick search. -- Best regards Peter Fjelsten 3.0.1.33 Pro ~18 POP3, 1 IMAP (MailMax 5.5) & 1 IMAP (Exchange 6.5), 175K msgs.
