I don't understand this, but doing it was quite helpful, as modified messages now come out with: %REGEXPBLINDMATCH=. with the dots representing the match. Great! It means I know what the macro's doing now. However, the macro is still matching sigs and ads at the bottom of messages - I mean, these sigs and ads are within the quotations. Here are two sigs it is still including: _ Mit dem MSN Messenger eine Reise für 4 Personen nach Barcelona gewinnen jetzt mitmachen! http://www.sweepstakes2003.com/entry.aspx?locationid=15 __ Yahoo! My fumbling decoding efforts suggest that the macro looks to exclude lines beginning with _underscores_, or the message get your free download. I don't understand the 'none of the above' bit. Re: macro dumping *just* eGroups ads
Hello Jan, On Thu, 9 Nov 2000 at 21:17:43 GMT -0500 (which was 6:17 PM where I live) witnesses say Jan Rifkinson typed: snip There are a # of egroups I belong to where the PGP sig is not employed the above macro doesn't seem to work there, though it works like a charm when PGP info is present. I seem to remember this macro working for me in the past with e-Groups posts with no PGP signatures. Looking at the RegExp Syntax, it shouldn't need the PGP part removed to work successfully. But the e-Group ads must be at the end of the message. Where are they in your lists? If the ads are at the beginning, try this one, it is an earlier incarnation of the same macro. As usual, this should be on one line for best results. %quotes="%SETPATTREGEXP=""(?is)(^-+ eGroups.*~-~.*-*_-$\s+){0,1}(^-BEGIN PGP SIGNED.*?\n(Hash:.*?\n)?\s*)?(.*?)(^(- --\s*\n|_{40,}\s*\n|-BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE)|\z)""%REGEXPBLINDMATCH=""%text""%SUBPATT=""4""" If that's not the problem, how exactly is the macro failing? Are you getting too much quoted, not enough... ? I guess the PGP pattern has to be removed, yes? no? More likely the e-Groups people changed something minor to make the match fail. In addition to the above requested information, can you please post and example of the ads that you are trying to remove? -- Thanks for writing, Januk Aggarwal See header for e-mail address Using The Bat! 1.48 Beta/4 under Windows 98 4.10 Build A -- -- View the TBUDL archive at http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com To send a message to the list moderation team double click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe from TBUDL, double click here and send the message: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org
Taking out the egroup ads
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hi, I read on the digests that "somebody" wrote a macro to delete the egroups ads. I was unable to find it on my 78434678 digests messages :) If he could repost (or in private of course), that would be great ! Thanks !
