Re[2]: Attachments' reminder

2002-02-13 Thread Sergey Kovalyov

Hello Peter,

I'm so sorry for my ISP - they add some new equipment to the existing
one, that's why I cannot connect to the List.

But Tuesday, February 12, 2002, 6:32:08 PM, you wrote:

PP so forget my explanations, they wont lead to any success with your
PP problem/question.

All I understood: the best solution for my problem (is it really a
problem?) is waiting for the time when this feature - checking the
weight of attachment - would be implemented, if ever.

OK. What I badly need now is a teacher of good meditation. I need some
relax. When we are relaxed we remember everything or almost everything
and we don't need any reminders.

Thanks all for your answers.

If you'd like to have a look in help for keyword 'Command line
parameter' you'll get a description of what the different parameters
mean and effect.

'text.txt' was a file name I choose for _this example_ as the file to
be attached to the mail.
Call it 'crap.txt', 'trash.bin', 'win.com' or what so ever ... The
help file will explain to you the parameter 'ATTACH' takes one
argument, the name of the file to be attached to the message generated
with the above command line.

The [QUEUE|SEND] part is quite more difficulty to understand if you're
a non-programmer, this means: either 'QUEUE' or 'SEND'. The difference
between them is explained in help file too.

You could do it with an Outgoing Mail filter - in the Advanced tab of
that there's an option 'Message is larger than ... K Bytes'. Setting

I think the pop-up box is beyond TB!*, but you could certainly park
the message in the Outbox (see 'Park the message' in the Actions tab)
and play a suitably annoying sound (same tab at bottom).

Alastair

* that inspires a feature request; it would be very easy to add a
filter option to pop up a box with text defined in the filter.

Nope ... he can't.

Outgoing Mail filters are triggered _after_ sending is done, so the
only effect would be he has sent the 1MB message plus it is
addtionally parked in oubox, a kind of reminder: 'You sent again a big
mail without zipping attachment!' :-)
