Duplicate messages that are parked will not be deleted by the 'kill
dupes utility. You have to unpark the duplicates and then go.

I think I better clarify this.
1. I think its a feature, reason being that one tries to move a parked
message. BUT it results in multiple copies if filters are applied
manually, especially if its done several times.
2. Removing duplicated messages over all my accounts/folders in one
go: per folder only obviously. I donot want it to zap duplicates in
different folders as they may be there for a reason. But I WOULD like
all my duplicates PER folder to be removed in all folders to be
removed in one go

Parked message cannot be deleted, not even automatically during "Kill

Another thing is a "Kill Dupes" command not only for the active
folder but as a global command (kill dupes in all folders of this
account / in all folders of all accounts in one go). Not a bad idea,
but it should still kill dupes only on a per-folger basis.

Well, if I drag and drop a parked message to another folder, a popup
message appears asking for a yes or no.

Do you want to move parked messages as well?

In the spirit of consistency and to help deal with the problem of
parked messages being repeatedly copied, during a manual filter
operations, from the target folder to the destination folder, one
would think that if you run the 'kill dupes' routine, a popup message
would appear asking:

Do you wish to erase duplicated parked messages as well?

:)) Of course, this query should only appear as needed as with the
implemented one for moving parked messages, in that, if there are no
duplicated parked messages detected then the popup message doesn't
appear.

I don't get your meaning. Kill Dupes is a command you don't usually do
*during* downloading, buit *after* having downloaded duplicate
messages. And why would you read old mail if you hit "kill dupes"
before reading?

because like this morning I I was disconnected 5 times and a lot of
mail had already been filtered into various boxes but as the stuff
isnt really deleted after download the BAT happily gets it again so
there is a second / third etc copy.
As I read some of my mail while newsgroups/mail/ftp are running its
very frustratting after all the mail finally is there to have to get
rid of dupes in maybe 30 folders one by one.
PLUS if I start answerering the mail some I already saw and DID
answer and I donot always remember that...
Ok, obviously the bat should really delete whats downloaded so these
damned duplicates donot get produced but getting them I like to have a
thing named called delete ALL duplicates or at least doing it on
highlighted mailboxes.
I donot mind the shift+ mousclicks to point to boxes to have
duplicates removed
If necessary(g)

I noticed the same thing when we were discussing filters with Douglas

It seems a bug to me, too.
