Just a few seconds... I didn't know how it works. I thought they read
the mails before they are let through.

Maybe they're just moving? Anyway, Europe is making its own version:

But they don't "kill" mails, they get them, copy them and send them on
(Technically it is a bit more complicated, but the point is: Mails may
get delayed for a few secs, but not lost.).

BTW, officially the German Echelon facility in Pullach (should ring a

Maybe it has to do with the word RIT having become a keyword at
Echelon?

Hope so, my ISP is one of COM Provider of Indonesia's ISP, it
continuos upgrade his bandwith and routing table. I notice upgrading
the bandwith and adding more routing (to other town/city) sometimes
make Routing Problem.

There are 2 reason :
1. My Antivirus which use Winsock Socket Layer sometimes truncated
the header (I have remove it last Saturday, after I found the
   problem).

2. I am using Postfix as main Relayer of this list. I found that for
certain case (i.e if the subject going long or in Digest Format
with long subject) PostFix truncate the header, so the header
comes to the body of message.

I have ask my friend who knows much better Postfix than me, but
we can not found the solution yet (I have posting this kind of
problem on MDaemon Beta List too, but Arvel not have the answer
   in short).

Inotice this problem only arise if I was using PostFix
or SendMail or Recipient use PostFix or SendMail. I prepare to
change Postfixto Exim (I am sure Qmail not making such
problem, because I have test it, but for other reason I will not
   implement Qmail) in short.

Any word on the problem of chewed up message headers and missing

I just asked because - as you may remember - it seems to me that in
the past few weeks the problem of lost mails, much delayed messages,
and such has been increasing (dramatically?).

It was - I've already read those headers myself.

There *are* messages going missing outbound - or sometimes they're
having chunks removed or repeated in the headers. This seems to be an
interaction between the list traffic and postfix/sendmail relay
servers in the outbound route.

I have noticed that the archive have been a bit out of date. I have been
keeping an eye on them because I have been missing some list traffic.

I have not been receiving all the email posted to this list for a few days.
To help sort it out I have subed on with a different email address. This
email is at the same ISP but on a different mailserver.

I don't know about any one else but yesterday between 11:00 and 16:00
(GMT+1) I received 5 email's to one account one of which had some of the
list headers in the body. On my other other account I received 7 email's

So out of 7 email's I received 4 good ones (57% good).

I have notified Marck about this in a few exchanges and in his last reply
(yesterday) he said.

So something _is_ hanging on the long way of a mail.
I think it's either mailserver:
