Thanks, that is what I thought must have been happening and why some of

scrap IE or tighten up on its security.

Nothing happened over here (it didn't even work).

So I guess it has to do with the security settings in the browser or
with the PFW. I believe that no website can install any spyware on my
computer - I hope. Anyway, just checked with Spybot S&D, and I appear
to be clean.

There was no 354 in the server message, that might have confused my
sendng SMTP server. I guess it will have closed the connection,
because not 550 or 250 followed.

The email address is valid, I sent the message later. However, the
first time there might have been an unprintable character in the
recipient address at the first tries, that's why it worked later.

IAC it doesn't look like a TB problem.

I've had this happen before also. I had to either delete the offending
message, or move it out of the outbox. I think I might actually have
restarted TB also, not sure if that was needed. Sometimes horse manure
happens, and you can't blame it on TB, but... and sometimes you just
aren't sure.

Re: A new one

2004-09-11 Thread Thomas Fernandez
Hello List,

obviously, the message got through. This is what I did:

1.) I parked the first message in the Outbox. Now the other messages
got sent.

Question: If one message creates a problem, shouldn't TB skip and
continue with the next?

2.) I reopened the culprit in the Inbox, changed the recipient to a
fake address and tried to send it (purpose was that I wanted to
MIME-attached the message here) but of course that didn't work (Server
reports error: Cannot resolve domain). So it would have been useless
for those you wanted to replicate the error.

So I thought, what the heck, and changed the message back to the
original TO recipient. Now it got sent without a problem!

My theory is therefore that the TO recipient contained an unprintable
character or something which prevented it from being sent. the
question above remains, why did TB not send the subsequent messages.

My curious question remains: What does the eorror "Go ahead" mean?

Thanks,

Thomas.
