Hello tb,

But, also be aware of the following:
 http://www.ritlabs.com/bt/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=0001866

Ouch, well I hope to see some way to annotate or have useful memos per
 message soon.

Until Ritlabs does something, I am using a work-around that is good
enough for me. I am using a QT that I have called Memo.

,- [ Memo QT ]
| %To=%To=Memo%-
| %Subject=[Memo] %Osubj%-
| %Clear%-
| %Cursor
`-

So, when I want to annotate a message, what I do is reply to it a then
just type MemoCtrl+Space to execute the QT, then write my memo,
send it to the Outbox and manually move it to the appropriate folder. As
I use threading by Reference in 99% of my folders, the Memo message
will appear just below the message. Not perfect but good enough for me
so far.

BTW, if anyone wonders why I include Memo in the To field is so that the
message will go nowhere in case I send it by mistake.

And I forgot to say something. With this method I can write or assign as
many memos as I may need to a single message (not just one) and the date
and time of each one is automatically logged.

Yeah that's pretty cool..

Who does the mail really go To: ?

Hello tb,

Who does the mail really go To: ?

Nobody. I just put it in the Outbox and from the Outbox, without
actually sending it, I move it to the appropriate folder.

to answer his question, I created your memo QT, created a message and
hit SEND ( oh, of **course** by mistake:) and got an error. With a To:
of Memo, it can't go anywhere, unless you are running Mercury and create
a local user named Memo, or change the To: to a local user...hm

So you Queue in Outbox or Save Draft ?

I think I'll just hope/wish for a memo improvement.

I queue in Outbox. The only difference is that if you Save Draft, when
you want to move the msg to another folder you will be asked to confirm
that you want to move Parked messages as well.

In my case, I am running Mercury and I have no local user named Memo.
But any ilegal address will work work just the same.

Yep, I also like option #2. Maybe you can write a plugin for this ;-)

FWIW, I think your suggestions are excellent. I occasionally use the
memo feature, but your ideas would be valuable enhancements.
