Then create a shortcut to that HTML document and make sure that it is opened with IE (in the open with... line) - you then follow the links. Opera will probably always be my default browser. From time to time when required to use IE I prefer Netcaptor over IE even though it is just a shell. I have used Firefox. I just dont care for it. Im always having problems with it. First of all, I installed newer versions of several browsers (type IE-shell). There was no problem with: Maxthon (formerly MyIE) Avant Browser Flashpeak Slimbrowser Crazy Browser still loaded FireFox Perhaps re-installing Netcaptor could cure the problem? Well, that was not the case, now Internet Explorer was launched and opened the attached html-file. Changed file-associations, but every time I associated HTML (tried other extensions too) with NetCaptor, IE was launched and now without showing the HTML file. However, when saving the attached HTML-file and clicking on it in PowerDesk, Netcaptor was launched and the HTML-file was shown. Finally I looked at the advanced settings on the file-associations screen. Looking at the open action for the HTML extension, this was what I saw: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe -nohome That explained why te file wasn't shown (-nohome instead of %1) (*) I edited the NetCaptor action and copied it's content. I then tried to paste that into the Open action, but that was refused because the file was not found. This is what I tried to paste: F:\Program Files\NetCaptor\NetCaptor.exe %1 Do you see the difference with the line in the Open action? Changing the above to: F:\Program Files\NetCaptor\NetCaptor.exe %1 in both the Netcaptor and the Open action now has left me with Te Bat! no longer providing me with a beep and error screen, but showing me the HTML-file in NetCaptor as expected (just like it did some months ago). I hope it works for you too! (*) how on earth it was my Win98 Internet Explorer version (on the C-drive (Win98 SE)) that was associated with HTML, instead of the more recent version (on the F-drive (Windows 2000)), I don't know.
