I'm sending this email out to everyone I host sites/email for. I've never
asked for donations to offset the costs, and for purely personal reasons, I
want to do some minor upgrades to the server hosting all of this.

This is a one time request, at least this year :) But seriously, you won't
find me doing this very often, if I even do it again.

If you appreciate the hosting, please go donate at http://texaslans.com and hit
the paypal link. Any amount would be appreciated.

Thank you
Charles

Mark, I didn't need the money, I can cover this upgrade. This was
more of a sanity check to see who would donate. While the majority of
the users on this server are caves, they all are not, I host for a few
friends as well.

While the majority of the people do understand and are willing to help
out, some would not understand this line of reasoning. Please don't
forward this information :)

I got close enough to the goal that I went ahead and ordered some of the parts.

Once I get done with the upgrades, anything extra will likely be
donated to the TCMA, or another worthwhile caver charity, but I didn't
want to say that either, some people would take that the wrong way as
well.

Sorry to ramble, TGIF :)

Hey, Charles.

I would expect a check from the TSA for $100 to be coming your way shortly. Go
ahead and hang onto it for future upgrades, maintenance, electric bills, etc.

You provide a great service and have the right touch as far as conversations
have occurred, and caving in Texas would be seriously handicapped without you
and CaveTex.

I firmly believe that CaveTex is the most important tool we cavers have for
communicating with other cavers around the state and country, warts and OT
subjects and all, and we would be seriously isolated and adrift without the
vital service you provide.

You never appreciate something until it's gone.

Thanks and have a good weekend!

Charles,
How much do you need to raise.
We really appreciate your work and generosity. A hint at the amount would
help us see what we need to do from grottos and organizations.

Thanks,

I'm sending this email out to everyone I host sites/email for. I've
never asked for donations to offset the costs, and for purely personal
reasons, I want to do some minor upgrades to the server hosting all of
this.

This is a one time request, at least this year :) But seriously, you
won't find me doing this very often, if I even do it again.

If you appreciate the hosting, please go donate at
http://texaslans.com and hit the paypal link. Any amount would be
appreciated.

Thank you

We have several grottos and organizations about to give you $100 each.
That takes waiting for meetings, but it can happen within a week or so.

Do you need more? We really are about to act, so let me know what you think
so I can pass the word to presidents and grotto chairs.

Charles,

I'm glad you're nearly there. PayPal doesn't like me. I tried yesterday and
today to make a contribution, but it would never accept it for various
reasons I could never verify as true or fix.

I appreciate all that you're doing for Texas Caving.

Since they all are on cavetex, it should cover it. If everyone on the
mailing list put in $1, I'd be happy. I know that won't happen, so $5
from those that want to donate will be sufficient to cover what I
need.

TCR has already spoken up, as a few individuals.
