[Texascavers] TSA Website Search Engine

2012-08-21 Thread Butch Fralia
The Google search engine on the TSA website homepage
http://www.cavetexas.org/ has been out of commission apparently for awhile.
It's fixed now, I finally got the new code Google wants you to use for
custom search and updated the website. It only searches the TSA website.
It's working again.

[Texascavers] TCR photos online - TSA Website

2009-11-24 Thread Butch Fralia
I know that folks have been posting TCR photos all over the place on Flickr
and Facebook. However, in keeping with tradition, I've been slowly but
surely getting photographs posted on the TSA website as well.

Thanks to Mark Alman and David Ochel for the photos they've made available.
If anyone else would like to contribute, please contact me off list so we
can figure out how to get them to me.

I didn't get captions for the photos so if you have suggestions, please send
them. They'd be appreciated. There are 75 photos up now with more on the
way. You can see them at:

[Texascavers] TSA Website Calendar and 2009 Grotto Officers

2008-11-16 Thread Butch Fralia
Cavers,

This is a reminder that the TSA maintains an online calendar at:
http://www.cavetexas.org/calendar/index.php. I just added some events for
2009 but they are mostly out of state. If you have events you'd like to
see on the state wide calendar, please send those to me.

If your organization has regular events and someone would like to be
responsible for adding those events, contact me and I'll show you the way.
You can add them yourself.

With 2009 coming up, most grottos will be changing at least a few officers.
Please send me your grotto officer/contact information to update the website
for 2009.

Regards,

Butch Fralia

I just figured you were working on it, tried to hit the store with no
luck. Will try again later or tomorrow.

new server which isn't a bad thing.

This is the first time I've had this type of problem with this company

statistically it's about time.

I don't expect it will be down long.

It's been working, I received 5 copies of your email about the
newsletter over the evening, spread out by a few hours.

Now if I could just get them to get the mailing list working again, the new

2007-03-26 Thread wokka
Yeah, started tinkering with it, seeing what all I can do. It's going
to take some time to get everything setup and working smoothly.

I see you got a T-Shirt up on the Store. At one time I thought I found
quite a bit of documentation on the store, it's probably over at the
OSCommerce website.

I haven't done anything toward configuring the store. There's stuff over in
the Admin area that will have to be set up to make it all work correctly,
especially the online credit transactions.

Thanks for updating the info for the South Central NCRC contact. I did notice
that you asked at the bottom of the page requesting any other resources or
contacts for cave rescue in Texas. I only say this to educate people to how
our state operates. ALLWAYS call 911 in an emergency, even though you know
they cannot handle the cave rescue. Then get with the local Sheriff (he/she
has local authority) and give them the contacts like myself who can ASSIST them
in finding the closest resources available. My info is in the DPS database so
if DPS gets involved I will usually get a call, but that will be hours into the
situation. Just trying to help. I know DJ Walker wrote a paper I think has
been published that should state pretty much what I have said. If there is
anything I can do as the Regional Coordinator please just ask.

Thanks...
