Thx for the hint. Tried it just now, with Chromium 12, Ubuntu 11.04 1) install java plugin: $: sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin 2) enable file cookie support: --enable-file-cookies 3) enable import from files: --allow-file-access-from-files 4) create a starter link like: chromium-browser --allow-file-access-from-files --enable-file-cookies == If you want to import tiddlers from a file, don't use the browse for a file button, since it creates an error message and a link like: file:///C:/fakepath/importTW.html which won't work. Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * Where is this to be added? I have been driven batty by inability to save TW's and to import at all, and to upgrade to 2.6.4 therefore, since recent upgrades of software and browsers. Ideally I am trying to run Mac OS X 10.6.8, Firefox 7.0 and Safari 5.1 and view TWs which have usually been upgraded to 2.6.2. These have been essential tools for me but now do not function at all. It looks for instance as though FireFox has a memory leak since if I try to save a TW the memory use jumps by 1GB or so and uses all available RAM, then finally I can get a 'stack overflow' message. Otherwise it's just a matter of the usual It's not possible to save changes. Possible ... and Error getting list of tiddlers, click Cancel to try again messages. I'm flailing by now, but willing if need be to have things in the same directory, or to use and old Firefox 3.6, or whatever is necessary to bridge the period in which somebody has to figure some the correct revisions. Unofrtunatly I need the newer browsers for their MathML support (whcih can be very nice in TiddlyWiki with MathJax already (if the TW runs at all, which is not the present circumstance!) Hopefully, Patrick P.S. Does anyone have any success in installing and operating TiddlyWeb which sounds as though it could provide a saving mechanism at least? On Sep 1, 5:53 am, Marc J. [tw] Re: Import Tiddlers for Dummies
@Patrick, when you import tiddlers from, say, tiddlytools.com then tiddlytools.com needs to add the header I mentioned. However, since it doesn't, I needed to tamper with the response using Fiddler. I did this manually but you can write a simple two-line script in fiddler which does it automatically. It just means you have to start fiddler before you import. [tw] Selecting input boxes with jQuery
Hey all, I'm writing my first plugin. It will enable gmail style, non- simultanious hotkeys - as in, press g then i to go to your inbox. I have basic functionality already working. However, I need to stop the hotkeys from firing when an input box is selected. To find inputs with focus, I'm trying to use something like: $('input').focus(function() { inputHasFocus = true; // Set true if a Form-Field is selected }).blur(function() { inputHasFocus = false; // Set false if a Form-Field has left }); But that doesn't work at all. The official docs on :focus include this simple example: $(input).focus(function () { ...do something }); (http://api.jquery.com/focus/) But I can't even get that to work. jQuery does not seem to be able to find the input boxes. [tw] Calling various macros as functions
From the hotkey plugin I'm developing, I'd like to be able to do things like create new tiddlers, or edit the currently selected tiddler. However, these are macros. [tw] ImportTiddlers not working on Firefox?
Hi all, Updated Firefox recently (Mac OSX 10.7, Firefox stable 6.0.1) and just discovered that Eric's ImportTiddlers plugin does not work. All I get is either '0 tiddlers' or '1 tiddler', which might be the URL itself (the behaviour expected if the file is not correctly formatted) Searching through the groups, I tried the following suggestions: - Disabled the plugin and used the bookmarklets version (http:// tiddlytools.com/#InstantBookmarklets) - Didn't work - Reinstalled the plugin - Didn't work So I got rid of the plugin altogether, and tried using Tiddlywiki core's implementation of import tiddlers. To my surprise, that didn't work either. Both - the core and the plugin work perfectly in Safari. And, even Camino. Any ideas? Anyone else seeing the same problem? Re: [tw] Selecting input boxes with jQuery
All, figured this out by doing the following: function function1() { var m = document.activeElement.type; if (m == 'text' || m == 'textarea') { // don't do anything } else { // do hotkey stuff } I'm still stumped as to why the :input selector method didn't work.
