[tw] Re: macro is dead in my wiki

2016-10-22 Thread Tobias Beer
Hi Attila,

   1. Does the same process also fail on an empty TiddlyWiki?
   2. Did you try to remove the offending tiddler?
   3. Otherwise, drag your wiki onto the ugrader on TiddlyWiki.com and
   deselect that one, then import and download.

Once your wiki is working again as expected, try to reproduce step by step,
*precisely* *what* you did and *how* and let us know at what point it
breaks.

Best wishes,

Tobias.

[tw] Re: macro is dead in my wiki

2016-10-22 Thread Mat
Hi Attila. If all macros are gone then I doubt TW would work at all, so I'm
guessing your problem only concerns the "Documentation Macros" that you
mention. For example, you can see if, say, the *version *macro works by
typing in <> and you will hopefully see 5.1.13.

Merely installing the documentation macros does not mean you've installed
the actual documentation texts. Is that what you were trying?

[tw] macro is dead in my wiki

2016-10-22 Thread Attila Balázs
Hi guys!

In TiddlyWiki files I can not use macro. All is gone, I don't know why.
I copiede the Documentation Macros tiddler form the homepage to my
TiddlyWiki, but I see nothing. The last columns is empty in my TiddlyWiki.
Can I install something special or what happening?
I try to use under firefox with the TiddlyFox! extension but all macros is
gone. I am using the last wersion 5.1.13, under Debian, and Win7 I have got
the same problem with both operating system.
Do you know any solution for my problem?

Re: [tw] [TW5] Impressions thus far (and TW on node.js on Android)

2016-10-22 Thread Arlen Beiler
Was just going to mention Termux as well. Also, check out the Hacker
Keyboard available in the Play Store. It is a keyboard with all the useful
buttons that you need in a terminal. By default it shows up in landscape
mode and just displays a regular keyboard in portrait mode.

On Termux, to install nodejs you just need to run apt install node, or
something like that. Also, long press on the screen and tap More... and
then help to find a lot of useful information. For Termux, it uses the
volume buttons for modifier keys, so check that out in the help as well.

Enjoy!

[tw] Re: [TW5] Code Block And Hard Linebreaks

2016-10-22 Thread Mark Heptinstall
Actually it looks like it is an issue with the Highlight.js plugin rather
than Tiddlywiki, removing the plugin the code block renders with hard
linebreaks without having to specify them and the text is inline.

Re: [tw] [TW5] Code Block And Hard Linebreaks

2016-10-22 Thread Mark Heptinstall
Windows 10 and tried in latest Chrome and Firefox

If I do the following the """ are visible in the code block and the ColumnB
text is not inline with ColumnA, it looks there are two tabs.

```sql
"""
SELECT
ColumnA
, ColumnB
FROM
TableA
"""
```

If I do the following then it looks like hard linebreaks are working,
ColumnB text is inline with ColumnA text but it does not render as a code
block.
`sql is visible at the top and """ is visible at the bottom

"""
```sql
SELECT
ColumnA
, ColumnB
FROM
TableA
```
"""

If I remove the """ then ColumnB text is not inline with ColumnA, it looks
there are two tabs.

Thanks, was this information already in the documentation?

I'm very new to TiddlyWiki so may have been looking in the wrong place.

That is how the server works atm, I believe. If you make local changes, you
need to restart the server for them to be available in a rendered wiki
(elsewhere). I think this is so, since the sync issues that otherwise need
to be overcome are quite significant.

 - In the tiddlers folder, many files seem to have many versions, .tid,

That's a bug being fixed with the next version

Best wishes,

Tobias.

[tw] sync tiddlywiki accross machines

2016-10-22 Thread Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaartin
Dear all:

I thought my setup was pretty solid: I run tiddlywiki using nodejs on
multiple linux (and one macos) desktop/laptop and an android phone; the
TiddlyWiki folder being synchronized using DropBox. However I am getting
multiple issues:
 - When switching from one device to the other (note that most devices stay
up even when I'm working on another one), I often need to restart the
nodejs server, otherwise it does not seem to be seeing the changes that
DropBox pushed to the folder in the mean time;
 - In the tiddlers folder, many files seem to have many versions, .tid,
.tid.tid, .tid.tid.tid, .tid.tid.tid.tid, .tid.tid.tid.tid.tid, …;
 - When switching from one device to the other I often get multiple draft
versions of non-draft tiddlers, multiple draft versions of deleted
tiddlers, deleted tags, …
How can I strengthen my setup? What is the best way to sync a nodejs
tiddlywiki across multiple devices? Thanks!

Martin
