After days of "Trial and Error" I recognized, that I don't know enough about the internal structure of TW5 to get this working. Now I'm trying to set focus und for that I have to dig deeper in the manual. @Jed: My first thought was a lil widget at the Sidebar, but I want to hide the sidebar. This solution wont work for me. I'm able to set variable buttons to open previos tiddler after I wirte the name of the calling tiddler into a field of the current tiddler. Maybe this mechanism will work to get focus of the current tiddler, but atm I dont know how. I'll try this week. @Thomas: Thanks for your example. This problems seems to be a bit older =). Hi Jed, Hi Birthe, thanks for your solution. I'll have a closer look at them after finishing the first steps. So far my example works, but maybe is not the best solution. Atm the keyboard-shortcut is a bigger problem (in my opinion). For days I tried to add Keyboard-Support for this ActionWidgets (right => next slide, left => last slide). Maybe you should inspect the elements of your TW5 with your browser tools.
In my opinion it is the best method if any CSS is corrupt. Use Chrome or
Firefox for this.

To import whole TW5 only drag and drop your TW5 file into the browser with
a new opened TW5-empty:
0.) Backup your TW5-file
1.) Download empty TW5
2.) Open empty TW5-file in browser
3.) Drag & Drop your TW5 into the empty TW5-file
Your $:/core/ui/PageTemplate/sidebar looks like the original one.

I prefer seeing lower end of the previous Tiddler above. If I reach my goal I'll post that plugin. 1) The scrolling effect could be solved with the Plugin TopStoryView from felixhayashi (https://github.com/felixhayashi/TW5-TopStoryView). OK, after some coding this seems to work in alpha-status, but the scroll-event should be change. Anyone know how to change the $:/core/modules/utils/dom/scroller.js to edit the target point? If the new tiddler is below or above the current tiddler the scroller should stop later to see the whole new tiddler. Atm the top or bottom are not shown. Am Dienstag, 31. Hi, I knew that I flooded this forum since last week end, but I got some ideas for the last two years. One idea is to use TW5 as a presentation-tool. I know, that some people already got this idea and built some examples, but my vision is much simpler. I think the standard is design shouldn't be changed to much. My idea got a educational purpose, because I want to put all my presentations into one file and maybe change between them. In my opinion the standard tiddler could be a single chart, if you reduce the SideBar through the button in the top right corner. Only some things should be done to use TW5 as a presentation tool: - Auto adjust font size to fit the computer screen in browser-fullscreen-mode (maybe with CSS or ViewTemplate) - Add button to return to tiddler, which called the current shown tiddler (through ViewTemplates and maybe parameters) - Add keyboard-shortcuts (Arrow Up/Down, Arrow Right/Left) to go through presentation If this three features could be implemented TW5 could be a very nice browser-based presentation-tool. Hi, after two years of searching and testing several notebook- and knowledge-base-software from Evernote to Lexican I decided to use TW as my personal knowledge-base. The main argument is the cross-platform ability and the nice size of the database. But after I tested TW for a while, I liked the ability to customize the TW so much. I tried to learn everything about structure, code and possibilities of TW but this is hard as a JS-, HTML-, CSS-noob. I looked up several things at www.tiddlywiki.com and http://tiddlywiki.com/dev/ to create my first (maybe very simple) plugin. During my research I found Erics crowd-funding page (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/inside-tiddlywiki-the-missing-manual#/) and his project at https://github.com/ericshulman/InsideTiddlyWiki. This was very helpful and I learned a lot about the general TW usage. Some functions for my plugin are copied and edited from other projects and in my opinion this is very helpful too. I watched some TW-Hangouts and if I get that correctly, some members are working at universities or schools. Even in the last hangout-session, Mr. Ruston spoke about students from his TW-course, who seems not to be volunteers. Thanks to Jed Carty my first question was answered realy quick. And I could
continue my work.
Now I got a new problem: I'm trying to double transclude text. Let me
explain:
First Tiddler got field "a" with value "x"
Second Tiddler got field "b" with value "First Tiddler"
Now I want to get the value x in the second tiddler. I tried
{{!!b!!a}}
but it does not work.
Afterwards I tried
<$set name="test" value={{!!b}}>
{{<>!!a}}
But this doesn't work either. Is there a way to double transclude with
field values, where a field value contains the name of the transcluded
Tiddler?

[tw] [TW5] Creating a ViewTemplate to show some text above the content
Hi,
I'm new to TW and I try to create my own knowledgebase. Therefore I'm
building my own Plugins to use their function in different wikis.
ATM I'm trying to create a ViewTemplate to show some text (in this case the
author of a book) above the edited content of the tiddler. But every
content in the text-field is shown above my VieTemplate code.
I tried and {{!!text}} to show the text-content below, but
everytime I use this I get the content shown twice. Above and below the
name and link of the author.
How could I suppress the content at the beginning inside the ViewTemplate
and insert the text at the place I want the content to appear?
