Re: [TMIC] is it too early? (off topic)
Hello Jeron Yes sirree bob, you go, you go and have a great time. If you have spoken at great length - then the homework is done, and the party can begin. Have a great time! Janet -From: Jeron Rampersad Sent: Friday, October 14, 2011 11:42 AM To: tmic-list@eskimo.com Subject: [TMIC] is it too early? (off topic) Hey guys, I need some advice. Most of you would remember my wife leaving me in April of this year. Since then I've found acceptance of my lonliness and it really was not too bad. Anyway, some 2 months ago I met up an old friend from way back and well, let's just say sometimes life just has a way of hooking 2 people up. My problem is I'm going away with her this weekend to a resort on the island of Tobago for her birthday. I'm kind of wondering if I'm ready to spend a weekend with someone alone. Haven't thought about that since my separation/divorce. What if I start having real feelings for her? What if she wants more out of this relationship after this weekend, even though we spoke about it at lenght. I was really honest with her from the get go, suppose honesty becomes my downfall? Should I be scared guys? or should I just go and have funforget TM/fibromyalgia/vasculitis for a weekend and enjoy the company of a woman who I might like? Regards, Jeron

Hello Jane I have no words to say, other than I am so very sorry. Do you have a PayPal address or a mailing address that I may use to send you a bit of cash to help? Re: [TMIC] I haven't been here for a long time
I am in on the facebook groups, but I don't like it. I much prefer to hear from everyone on the tmic list. It is much more personal and a lot more information is shared. Facebook is simply something for people to do while they are not doing anything. If that makes sense. I am glad you heard from Jude. She is such a special lady. Janet Dunn - Original Message - From: pjv1...@chartermi.net To: tmic Sent: Saturday, October 01, 2011 6:34 PM Subject: [TMIC] I haven't been here for a long time Hi I got booted off tmic several months ago by the computer phantom that does that every once in a while and decided not to sign back up for various reasons. I signed up today because I visited with David and Judy Hoops , aka Hey Jude, today and we talked about how long it had been since we had been on the TMIC. I visited the archives to see what the current subjects are and who was participating and the subject that caught my attention was RE: facebook. How fitting. That was exactly what Dave and Judy and I talked about. They told me about TM on FaceBook and how confused they get by it and wondered if it had totaly replaced TMIC. I told Dave I would chek into it and let him know what I found out. It was good to see so many people post on that subject. There were names that I hadn't seen on TMIC for a long time. It sounds like a lot of people were lurking I the background. I remember the last post I read. Someone asked how Saronj from India was and she answered. Jude has been in hospital twice in the last three weeks. She sure is a trooper! She's in ICU now awaiting test results. I think I'll stay on TMIC for a while. Patti - Michigan TM for 8 years and wouldn't have known what to do without TMIC and the TM Forum. I'm glad there's plenty of info for new TMers, however, my brain couldn't have handled it all back then.

Oh Jeron . . . just know that we are here, for you. Janet - Original Message - From: Jeron Rampersad To: tmic-list@eskimo.com Sent: Friday, June 17, 2011 1:24 PM Subject: [TMIC] I need you guys Hi guys, Sorry I have been away for so long. I've been through hell since January 1st this year with my complications with TM. I started having really bad spasms then and I just thought they were normal, but here was our little friend TM acting up again through an infection I managed to pick up in Brazil. I was treated and got better and my wife and I were relocated to the Caribbean, where we are from, by her company just after that. We moved and things settled nicely for a while, but with TM a while is all you have. I got another attack. I've been hospitalised on 7 separate occasions since then just to deal with pain, because sadly neurology is not a practised science in the caribbean. My wife endured all the while at my side. At least she did for a while. She finally got fed up of it all, seeing me spasm out of control in loads of pain must have been hard. She left me in mid April and I have been trying to cope since, but it's really hard. I love my wife and hate that I put her through so much, but I never thought she would have left. We haven't spoken in a month now and I have medical bills piling up and it's getting scary now. I just need to catch a break. It's more challenging now than when I was first hit by TM, because for the first time in my life I'm truly alone. I know my faith is being tested; I wish I knew what God wanted from me. I need you guys. Jeron
Re: [TMIC] Foot Surgery
Hello Cody I realize you are asking about the surgery. Unfortunately I have had no experience with that. And I am sure you have had more than your share of people tossing in their two cents worth. I have experience with that. I only know what you printed below about your case. Because surgery is irreversible, I wanted to share this information with you first, to let you decide if this will help: http://www.lmorthotics.org/product/ER530200 It is a picture of a dictus splint. I wear/wore one to help with foot drop. If the problem is pressure on the balls of your feet and it is relieved by you stretching your Achilles by pulling your toes back towards your knees, this is what this splint does. You can see by the picture how it is worn. And you can set the tension to pull the foot up as far as you want. I wear mine on my shoes (there are hooks that go into the laces that the band hooks to) and from this picture you can see that it can be worn on sock feet. Investigate, see what you think. Information is always a good thing. I can neither walk or stand at all. Additionally, I have no sensation at all. So I never know when I am putting to much pressure on a particular place whether it's my foot or my butt. I do stretch my Achilles but I can only do it by using my hands to pull my toes back toward my knees while sitting in the bed. I have custom designed inserts for my shoes to cushion my feet and relieve pressure. I also have padding on my wheelchair foot rest. This is why I am very inclined to have this surgery so I can relieve the balls of my feet from getting so much pressure. So if anyone has had this specific surgery I would like to hear from you.Cody in Austin Sent from my iPad On Apr 6, 2011, at 7:54 AM, Dalton Garis malugss...@gmail.com wrote: No . . . [TMIC] Chiropractic treatment
Hello Sue I have been using Chiropractic treatment since I was 12, and I have celebrated my 36th anniversary of my 12th birthday. My children all use chiropractors. I used to take my wee babies to the chiropractor before the doctor for ear infections - a gentle adjustment of the neck would open the ear canal and no more ear infections. My 16yr old son, who remains in incredible pain, with no dx just went yesterday. We are a family of believers of the value of a GOOD AND REPUTABLE Chiropractor amongst other things. Have a good visit with your chiro - you will be glad you did! Janet
Re: [TMIC] Connected?
Ah, pH, I am so with you - but I can't do the bourbon. Damn pain. Here the weather changes 30C in a 24 hour period. Wake up to -30, go to bed to -3, or vice versa. Now that raises hell, and that is the kind of winter it has been. I have seen far too many early mornings waiting for the pain to ease, since it doesn't stop. If it would stay -20 I'd be kind of ok, but to switch like that so often this winter has left me in tears more often than I can shake a stick at! I'm with Kevin and Janice - I used to drink ice cold beer. Now even the non alcoholic does me in! At Christmas I had a titch of rum and eggnog - lost a few hours I did. My date said I acted normally, but I did lose a couple of hours I know it! Janet - who misses a good cold one.
