Yesterday I wanted to scan a picture that was in a
collage-type frame on the wall, so I took the frame down and left it on the
table while I took the picture out and scanned it. I got to doing other things
and didn't get the picture back in and frame up. Later in the day I came
downstairs and noticed the blank space on the wall, and thought, "What? What is
supposed to be there? What's missing?" I felt so silly for not remembering I had
taken the frame down earlier in the day.

Brain foghappens. I don't know why. I agree with whoever
said it gets worse if you fret about it.

I've had days when my balance is worse, too, to the point
where I am not too sure about doing what I normally do.

I hope there is some encouragement in knowing that many of us
experience the same things, even if we don't know why. :-)

You are telling yourself that you need to do more when it sounds like you
should be doing less. I don't know how you keep up with your children and keep
up your home - you sound like super woman. Please slow down for a few days and
see if your balance and memory improve. Please!

When I was on nuerontin, I had major short term memory problems. When I went off it, my memory problems went away. Although, when I am in more pain and tired, I do have some memory problems. I chalk this up to fatigue.

Love the saying Gilly. Suits me to a T. If
only I can remember it now.

Memory loss seems to come hand and hand with TM for
me. However, it hit me when I had just turned 58 (3 yrs ago yesterday TM
found me). Regardless of TM I had noticed that at work I was starting to
forget things even prior to TM. I wonder if it is TM, age, medications
etc. Not much I can do about it though so just 'go with the
flow'. Frustrating as it may be.

Heather in lovely Calgary. Weather is perfect
today.

  I tried
Neurontin in the very early stages, for about 3 days. The effect
of it was worse than the pain! It certainly made my life foggy.
The only medication I have now for tm is Zoloft. Still on 50mg a day,
just seems to keep life smooth. I had about 18 months before I would
take that though and my memory was just as bad.

  I have
days where it's OK and I can achieve heaps, on other days, well, heaven
  knows!

  I was
once in a speech therapy session with a friend of mine who had had a stroke
and had lost her speech. I noticed on the wall behind the
  therapist, a little sign.

  it
  read

  What I
miss the most is my mind.
