What was the Touchs ip beforw you got the AP ? And hopefully you are not conecting to a niegbours network ;) better to give your AP a really unique name... if all else fails ssh to it and give it a static ip, I've used static ip on all squeezebox related things since 2006 works perfectly. -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. 7.5.2 has been probably the most stable release to date. 7.5.3 was a disaster, which is why 7.5.4 came out to address those problems. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Filtering out tracks
You could change the genre of what you want to filter to something unique, like "radio" for example. Then when selecting random mix through web interface, you get the option of selecting which genres to include in a random mix. You would just have to de-select the ones you don't want. I use this to avoid having Christmas music play in a random mix in the middle of summer. Good luck. [SlimDevices: Touch] Filtering out tracks
Hello In my iTunes library I have quite a lot bbc radio shows (around half an hour long) and podcasts that turn up when I put a random mix on the squeezebox and ruin everything. Could anyone help me with the best way to filter these out? In iTunes I have created a smart playlist that catches most of these which I then set to skip when shuffling. Is there a way to do something similar with the squeezebox touch? I have tried using the custom skip applet but can't get my head around it. It sure seems like you have an additional DHCP server running on your network that is handing out 192.168.1.x addresses. If the Squeezebox Touch was contacting the DHCP server on the old router then it would be getting a 192.168.0.x IP address. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Now Playing/Artwork lags behind
Hi, I personally don't get any problems with artwork on the Touch or Duet, except when I have used the latest release SBS 7.5.4. You will see from various threads that 7.5.4.s scanner.exe has displayed "faults" when scanning music/artwork files. That said, in reading threads over the years, I have noticed the more knowledgeable members (Technical bits!) have said that artwork should not be larger than 500 x 500 pixels, so that the scanner can handle them without a lag. I have artwork below this figure and above and I don't have a problem. I use db CD ripper for ripping to flac and the program finds the correct artwork. If it is above 500 x 500 it automatically reduces the artwork size to 500 x 500. I also use Album Art Downloader This may be a contributory factor to your on-going issues. Also what operating system are you using on your computer/server? If it was my unit, I would first ascertain what SBS I was using. If it is 7.5.4 then try a previous SBS issue that was stable i.e. 7.5.3. for example. To make sure everything was to start afresh I would clear the cache and preference files (on the advanced page of the SBS Control Panel. I would then uninstall SBS completely making sure that nothing connected with the current install was left behind and then I would carry out a re-install of a previous SBS and rescan the music files. If that doesn't do the trick I am stuck on offering further advice. -- sachadog sachadog's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10564 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80014 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
