Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Digital output of the Squeezebox Touch
That feature has been on the Bugs/Enhancement request list since shortly after the Touch's release. Nothing yet and I'd guess it is very low on the developers to-do list. toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95464 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

[SlimDevices: Touch] Squeezebox Touch - Synology NAS / Help needed
hello, i finally added SBT to my system. previously i was playing my music files on my laptop. my configuration is; SBT + Synology DS211j + DACMagic2 + CA Azur 640 + Wireworld Starlight Coax cable i have several questions both on SBT configuration and playing Hi-Res flac files. 1. first i have my archive in main folders such as albums for standart mp3 files, lossless albums for flac files, soundtracks, classical etc. i would like to reach them as seperate libraries as in JRiver. on my SBT under de albums i see them in one folder all mixed up. when i go thru music folders on SBT, i see them as i pointed under dedicated folder structure as i mentioned above but cannot play tracks in track number order, it just plays in alphabetical order. 2. another issue on album covers. i store all my album covers in the album folders named as front.jpg. problems occurs when there are more then one disc, i have subfolders such as disc 1, disc 2. covers cannot be displayed if there are subfolders in the main album folder. 3. scanning takes so much time, i don't want SBT rescan all the time. what is the best and quickest way rescanning the music archive for changes? 4. i can only get 44.1 while playing hi-res flac files. my DAC supports up to 96 but i always get 44.1, i have choosen my coax cable one of the preffered overe here, Wireworld Starlight, i don't it's the cable. what should i do to play the flac as they are. thanks in advance eLiasGR's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56430 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95479 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Announce: Enhanced Digital Output app - USB Dac and 192k Digital Ouput
rgro wrote: In order to make EDO and tt 3.0 work together, you'll probably need to either disable or change the Priority settings in the tt 3.0 files. If you're familiar with using WinSCP and going into the Touch firmware, this'll be relatively simple. If not, you'll have to decide whether or not you want to learn. Some information can be found here: http://touchtoomuch.wordpress.com/2012/05/12/squeezebox-touch-optimisations-based-on-tt3-0-and-edo-mods/ I tried it, but I did not even get the chance to change the settings. With EDO installed, then installing TT3.0, the SBT does not boot anymore correctly. It boots a moment until the screen turns white for a short second and then turns black and does not react anymore. No possiblity to contact it through WinSCP either. Luckily, factory reset via the bottom on the back still worked and helped me out. So for the time being, I leave only EDO installed, even though I can't use USB output or 192k yet. diego's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40897 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Maybe things would have to be installed the other way round, TT3 first, changing settings, EDO after, or so. However, for the time being I don't care and I leave only EDO installed, even though I can't use USB output or 192k yet, but I hope I will get the chance to test further soon. And, you thoroughly read through the instructions and notes here?: http://soundcheck-audio.blogspot.com/2011/11/touch-toolbox-30.html If so, you would have read that one of the things that TT 3.0 does is disable the screen. Don't know why you couldn't get in through WinSCP after installation unless you'd already run the tt -k command which effectively locks you out of the Touch until you do a reboot. I haven't seen that it mattered in which order the EDO and TT 3.0 were installed. BTW, it's all working perfectly for me, including Triode's Screen Off app...producing wonderful SQ. rgro's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
