Toshiba is very good about staying below the USB power spec. I would be willing to bet it will work fine because a company like Toshiba doesn't want returns and this drive has no means of connecting external power. But you are right that until somebody tries it, we will not know for sure. The Wifimedia shop is a Dutch shop/website. One of the warehouses of Logitech in Europe is in the Netherlands. In the past when I ordered from Logitechs European website the package was delivered to me the next day. And in the Netherlands UPS is one of the few shipping companies that does not deliver on a Saturday, the others do, even without extra charge. So if Logitech ships on Friday, the shop will have them in on Saterday. Note that the shop is not saying the release date is on Saturday, they only state that they will get there first batch of Touches in on Saturday. But it all comes down to one thing: Either you believe the shop or you don't. We'll see. Even sold the SB3 while it was sold out everywhere else during the Touch wait period. I just pre-orderd from amazon with the free shipping. Hopefully once its finally released, the pre-orders will be filled somewhat soon:) I will be replacing my SB3 and from the sounds of the beta testers, the analog outs of the Touch are an improvement. I run the analog outs into a 2 ch preamp, so their performance is important to me.
