[Trisquel-users] How do I revert back to the default interface?
Namaskar! I've just installed Flidas and while playing with different type of interface on MATE Tweak, I changed to Ubuntu MATE. Now how can I revert back to the default one? since I'm not finding appropriate option from drop-down menu.
Re: [Trisquel-users] How to Update the LibreJS of Icecat on Trisquel 8
Does not work the same. Of the same error that I spoke to. Is there a way to "trick" the browser saying that it is a newer version of icecat?
[Trisquel-users] Re : How to Update the LibreJS of Icecat on Trisquel 8
7.16, yes. Abrowser does not communicate its right version number to websites. To fight against fingerprinting, I believe. On https://addons.mozilla.org you can right-click on the buttons "Add to Firefox", copy the link and paste it in the address bar.
Re: [Trisquel-users] How to Update the LibreJS of Icecat on Trisquel 8
If I go directly in the store of mozilla of this message: This add-on requires a newer version of Firefox (at least version 60.0). You are using Firefox 52.0. Magic Banana, I Did what you said says that you do not have to update anything.
[Trisquel-users] Re : How to Update the LibreJS of Icecat on Trisquel 8
My LibreJS addon was automatically updated. In "about:addons" (that you can open through Abroser's menu or using Ctrl+Shift+A) you can setup that automatic update in the "gear" menu (o menu com uma rodinha).
Re: [Trisquel-users] Minimal Installation
Yeah, that did it.
Re: [Trisquel-users] How to Update the LibreJS of Icecat on Trisquel 8
Can you install it if you open Icecat and go to https://www.gnu.org/software/librejs/ and click on the thing that says " In GNU IceCat or any Mozilla browser, you can install LibreJS by clicking on this link and following the subsequent instructions: librejs-7.16.0.xpi." ???
[Trisquel-users] Re : Minimal Installation
The package "trisquel-desktop-common-data" provides, among other files, /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/x_trisquel.gschema.override that apparently defines Trisquel's default look (including the layout of the panel, the background, the icon theme, the default screensaver, etc.).
Re: [Trisquel-users] Minimal Installation
> Only if I install package 'trisquel' which installs > everything (almost one gigabyte), I get it right. Is the only thing missing the panel? The panel layouts available in mate-tweak (Redmond, Fedora, etc.) appear to be defined in files under /usr/share/mate-panel/layouts. This directory also contains additional layout files, including one called trisquel.layout, $ ls /usr/share/mate-panel/layouts/ default.layout mutiny.panel eleven-fresh.layout netbook-fresh.layout eleven-indicators-fresh.layout netbook-indicators-fresh.layout eleven-indicators.layoutnetbook-indicators.layout eleven.layout netbook.layout fedora.layout opensuse.layout linuxmint.layoutredmond-fresh.layout mageia.layout redmond-indicators-fresh.layout mutiny-fresh.layout redmond-indicators.layout mutiny-fresh.panel redmond.layout mutiny-indicators-fresh.layout trisquel.layout mutiny-indicators-fresh.panel ubuntu-mate-fresh.layout mutiny-indicators.layoutubuntu-mate-indicators-fresh.layout mutiny-indicators.panel ubuntu-mate-indicators.layout mutiny.layout ubuntu-mate.layout which opened in a text editor does seem to define Trisquel's default panel. This file comes from the 'mate-panel' package $ dpkg -S trisquel.layout mate-panel: /usr/share/mate-panel/layouts/trisquel.layout so I don't think you should need the 'trisquel' package to install it. The problem is actually applying this layout, as it is not an option in mate-tweak. Browsing with dconf-editor I see that under org/mate/desktop/panel/general there is a setting called 'default-layout' which by default is set to 'trisquel'. Changing the layout to Redmond in mate-tweak causes the dconf value to change from 'trisquel' to 'redmond', so this value seems to be related. However, changing the value manually in dconf editor and logging in/out has no effect on the panel layout or the value displayed in mate-tweak, so I must still be missing something. signature.asc Description: PGP signature
[Trisquel-users] Re : FSDG and pip
so I tried out in addition to your y/n options adding a 'v' option to view the text of the license and an 'o' option to add only the current addon without accepting other addons with the same license statement. Nice! I guess we could organize a day where volunteers on this forum would take care of a few pages (whose numbers are in the interval in argument of 'pop-addons'). However, I do not really know how to add add-ons on https://trisquel.info/en/browser/addons and it would be nice to have 'pop-addons' check whether the add-on is already in Abrowser's catalog. I accept it and is never recognized as having already been accepted. That is because the backslash is the escape character for 'grep' which is given the license name to search in the accept/reject files. The two 'grep -qx "$license"' in free-addons should be changed into 'fgrep -qx "$license"' so that "$license" is seen as a fixed string. That said, showing the unicode "\u002F" instead of "/"s not nice and "| sed 's/\\u002F/\//g'" could be appended to grep -o '"license":{[^}]*,"name":"[^"]*' $dir/addons/$a | sed -n '1 s/.*"//p' to only treat that case (I do not not know if there are others).
[Trisquel-users] How to Update the LibreJS of Icecat on Trisquel 8
Hello, this is my first question and I'm sorry to say that my native language is not English, and yes the Portuguese of Brazil The question is in the title: The icecat of the trisquel 8 comes with an older version of librejs 6.0.13 and already has a better version which I tested in abrowser 7.16.0 or 7.14.0 that is more "usable" as the on-script only that the compatibility error when installing in icecat because it seems to be a browser with an older version, unlike the abrowser. This older version even placing some scripts on the white list does not work and the error. The new version will not have this problem. Ps: I Saw that the LibreJS received a donation through the GNOME project from a company other DNS Peer-to-Peer. So has the future!
Re: [Trisquel-users] Minimal Installation
I can't make it work. The default look and feel is basic Ubuntu Mate if installed piecemeal. Only if I install package 'trisquel' which installs everything (almost one gigabyte), I get it right.
