Please revert it from your tree and see if it works for you. I will need to investigate why my commit broke the boot, but for now just revert it locally so that you can continue the DM conversion. I reversed your commit but the block is still there, but even with your commit on the top of the u-boot master. Also, imx7 is missing the u-boot,dm-spl properties. Take a look at imx6ul, for example: git grep u-boot,dm-spl | grep mx6ul And see if doing the same for mx7 works.
