In unix, from Wintegrate I would login to the host, drop to the shell prompt and fire off Kermit. This would sit waiting for commands that Wintegrate could integrate with in its Kermit Process. However I cannot find such a facility for Windows, apart from Kermit 95 that loads some OS level copyright protection that I have concerns with particularly in the light of Sony's copyright protection software issues. Hi Craig [have you tried downloading Kermit from Columbia University?] I looked at it, but the trial downloads some rental software that needs you to be logged in as administrator to install. I am nervous of this particularly after the problems coming from Sony doing the same thing. I did not want to purchase it, as it was for a one off test. I was just wondering if anyone knew of another product. Kermit 95 seemed the only product for windows. As I recall that DB was way before ODBC for external access to the data. But IIRC the data files themselves are just text files with fixed length fields. You should be able to access the DB files with UniBasic and READSEQ. The first "record" in a dBase file is the data definition with the length and name of each field.
