Re: [Ubnt_users] kudos to ubnt - rma

2016-08-11 Thread Dan Petermann
This brings back bad memories of Germany. I was working for GTE in Bensheim.
Apparently packing peanuts are concidered hazardous material or something.
Everyone spent weeks picking them up from all over the compound before we left
the country.

Crap, now I have a hankerin’ for a schnitzel on a brötchen from the local
imbiss. And the autobahn……..

Ditto,
We have a few subs at a tower that before the Alvarion 5740-5830 radios were
dead in the water. The radios show a –65 noise floor, but we get 60 mbps on a
10 MHz channel
following. i think step one is determining are you actually running airprism.

only a few subs deployed, averaging 150/150 on a 20 mhz channel

all subs are under a mile

[Ubnt_users] LTE & 5GHz

2016-08-11 Thread Kevin Lamothe
Has anyone seen any odd things with using 5GHz M or AC radios and
850&1.9GHz LTE band?

I'm seeing an odd problem at two of my sites. The teleco's equipment is
about 10 feet away from us.

The one site has 15db signal difference between 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Shot is
LoS, antenna/jumpers/radio has been replaced, even played with tilt.
Airview scan shows the spectrum is completely destroyed. I only have
2.4, 24GHz and one other 5GHz sector on here. They both see each other
in the -70s.

There is also no other WISPs here or nearby.

Is it possible that the LTE equipment is giving off harmonics that's
wrecking havoc with the front in filter on these 5GHz radios? or
possibly just a power over load?

 Do not favor Amazon approach.

You pay a small premium but the benefits are great in supporting a
local supply chain that is willing to work with you.

It has been a while since I've done an RMA to be honest.

I do on the other hand think its funny that they don't want you to
send your product back in packing peanuts but turn around send the
 product
back to you in packing peanuts.

I have hate for packing peanuts.
