I think with the 3.2 upgraded EPMP could be an answer lol
That being said, we run maybe 40 EPMP radios and probably 300 ubnt airmax

Since applying WPA2-AES to all our Rocket M5 APs and CPEs (5.6.9 ALL) we have

Does Elevate change the wireless aspect of the UBNT device so that it
makes it perform better?

Besides the sync of the AP of which you have to have two of to enter into
any performance question, if Elevate doesn't help the wireless performance
of the UBNT device, then why put it on?

I thought you could already put the Cambium in wifi mode and connect
Ubiquiti devices, or maybe it's the 'Airmax' function or as I like to call
it the 'moderator' function at a debate.

Re: [Ubnt_users] Crash reports

2016-12-08 Thread Josh Luthman
Nothing on the AP side.

The Beam CPE isn't as good as a Force110 or Force200 CPE. I can say for
sure a couple of db in the antenna. I've heard better filtering/eth
protection/etc stuff, but that's kind of hard to measure from my point of
view.

If you're thinking Ubnt CPE + license to keep costs down I wouldn't waste
the effort, it's the same price and every db counts.

Yes on one tower. Didnt see any difference. The elevate! program is
interesting. What do you lose by using a ePMP AP and UBNT CPE?

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that! Are you swapping out your

Since applying WPA2-AES to all our Rocket M5 APs and CPEs (5.6.9 ALL)
we have been getting lots of Crash reports on the AP side an some one the
CPE. Also have had several AP’s just stop passing traffic till they were
rebooted. Funky communication with AC2 and all around goofiness of our
network that we never had without security.

Giving lots of consideration to reversing this decision. Any thoughts
 or ideas?

Hey Steve,

We've resolved most of these in the airOS6 branch. I'd like to get a few
.sup files to see if this has already been addressed. Sending a follow-up
email.
