Re: Using Orca with Evolution and HTML Messages
OK, perhaps Evolution has a setting to display all emails as plain text? As for Thunderbird you need to get it from the mozilla ftp site because you need the beta version of Thunderbird 3 for the accessibility to be there. Ordinarily using add/remove programs or typing sudo apt-get install is the best way to get new packages in Ubuntu. The mozilla ftp site is at ftp://ftp.mozilla.org If you need further help to download Thunderbird give me a shout. Paul On 31/05/09 21:34, Peter Torpey wrote: I did try the "caret navigation" option. What is the best/easiest way to install such packages? Should I browse under the Add/Remove Programs, Synaptic Package Manager, or simply find the correct install package name on the web and use apd-get install from the Gnome terminal? I actually use Thunderbird not Evolution. There is a setting called something like "enable carot navigation" which lets you arrow around read-only emails as if it was editable text. It should be in the menus somewhere. If this doesn't work I hope someone else can answer this for you. I figured out that I could read the message with Orca if I hit the option to use this message as part of a new message (like forwarding the message). If I do that, the contents can be read by navigating with the arrow keys. This seems a bit awkward, though, and I thought there must be a better method. If not, is there another mail client which should preferably be used with Orca? Thanks. --Pete No virus found in this incoming message. Re: Using Orca with Evolution and HTML Messages
Hi, I use thunderbird 3.0. It is a beta version but works quite well with orca.
