Don't forget, my Tropic theme (to be included with Edgy) depends on gtk2-engines-murrine (of course, I've loved your engine to bits!), so it should be in the main repository! We're past BETA already, it's too late to add anything else to main. We've a very clear, published release schedule and you need to work within that if you want bits on disk. Mark Oh...hold it: What about the community themes? Tropic was one of those themes! Guess I've got a little decision to make: Switch it to a different engine, see if it can be included in Universe instead (like maybe gtk-theme-tropic?) or just don't care about it at all! Note that I already sent the full tarball with the Murrine version to Frank, you'll have to maybe work it out with him. I really wanted to use Murrine, but if you have to change it to use Ubuntulooks instead of Murrine, use this metacity instead... http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=46192 Viper550 -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art

No problem. Every contribution are welcome, but this one looks very similar. Were you just proposing other colors ? Étienne. -- Verso l'Alto ! -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art

[ubuntu-art] [polish] GRUB boot screen
Okay, I had to use a greyscale design so it wouldn't look weird dithered, but at least this screen does go with some of the elements defined in the new wiki page I heard about: This splash screen has 3 major elements - The feeling of gloss - The Trademark Curve - Minimal but Effective branding So, think this would work good as the GRUB splash screen? Come on, I can't believe that a distro aimed at newer users...doesn't have a nice pretty background on the boot menu! :D Viper550 -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art

Most icons on dialogues have been replaced by their tango counterparts, much more beautiful and modern. The question icon has not, though, which makes it stand out. So it should be replaced ASAP IMO. Re: [ubuntu-art] [polish] GRUB boot screen
Hmm .. I'd love to see this in edgy ! The image could be a little better ..- The logo slightly less to the edge.- The Blurred border should go.- Maybe even drop *rounded* things because it really scales awful on widescreens or high-res screens ;) But still .. even if the image doesn't improve a lot .. its 100* better then the current ( ugly ) grub :)Nice work, great idea !Cheers2006/9/30, Viper550 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:Toby Smithe wrote: On Sat, 2006-09-30 at 11:07 -0400, jmak wrote: snip Why is the border between the dark and the light tone kind of blury? I'm attaching the xcf and png so you can see. And I just tried them on my system, and Lord! was it ugly. There were only two colours: grey and white, with the white outlining all the distinctive objects, and the grey being the rest. I don't think I did it wrong, but rather Dennis was right in that the splash doesn't work on many systems. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art
