Re: [ubuntu-art] GTK theme help

2008-09-18 Thread Rico Sta. Cruz

Silently uploaded to the wiki (consider this an alpha):
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/Intrepid/DustTheme?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=Dust-firefox-20080919.xpi

Sorry about the upside-down tabs, they're a carry-over from the OSX Firefox
theme. And yes, the icons are stock GTK icons as per linux tradition (i.e.,
they change as you change your gnome icon theme).

Any chance I could get the theme files off you? Firefox has been
less-than-co-operative trying to get what you have there.

2008-09-18 Thread Yann Dìnendal
This theme looks great! But why are the tabs upside-down?
Are the icons part of the Firefox theme or are they from the standard icon
theme? I think the red home icon doesn't go very well with the theme...

i totally agree with your idea, that area should be transparent, it
looks weird when it meets a different colored webpage.

[ubuntu-art] GTK theme help

2008-09-18 Thread José Luis
Thanks for the advice! I'm now happy with my new dusty borderless theme.

About the new Firefox theme: the complimentary "It looks like Chrome" comentary
and:
It's great, well integrated with the Dust theme. I really love the gradient.
Now the things to improve: The space under and between the tabs is grey. It
would be cooler
if it were alpha(transparent), but I don't know if that can be done with the
FF theme engine.

Re: borderless borders:
They're staying at 1px for the reasons everyone's already pointed out.
:) If
you want to change them, just edit metacity-theme-1.xml and look at
line 19.

Btw, I'm working on a Dust Firefox theme. Any thoughts?
