[Bug 123929] Re: broken networking after suspend - meta-bug
Thanks for trying to consolidate this information. We are actively looking for solutions to these know problems. For example, the interplay between NetworkManager, /etc/networking/interfaces and ifup/down was discussed at this weeks developer meeting. Combining several issues in one report is generally not so useful. This entry would be suitable on the ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list though. You are clearly interested in helping make this work and you might consider helping to triage NetworkManager bugs, esp. looking for duplicates. That would free up more time for the developers to fix networking issues. [Bug 116457] Re: crashes when all fields in a table are removed
This is now fixed in upstream glom: 2007-09-15 Murray Cumming [EMAIL PROTECTED] * glom/mode_data/box_data_list.cc: create_layout(): Do not try to add the previously-used primary key if there is no primary key in the table (for instance, if there are no fields in the table). This avoids an internal postgres warning about a non-existant field. * glom/utility_widgets/db_adddel/db_adddel.cc: Clear the model if there are no fields. This prevents a crash at startup if a table has no fields. So far so good! I can normally trigger it within 20 minutes and today it seemed 100% stable for over 3 hours. I opened an upstream bug report a couple of days ago when I opened this one, should I close it and link back here? There are also a number of T61 users who are experiencing this issue, should I direct them here to test or is this a possible security issue that shouldn't be advertised until the fix is in the repo's? Public bug reported: After installing of the gutsy tribe 5, my laptop (Toshiba Qosmio G20) doesnt boot. I edited the boot command by adding break=mount. I fall in the busybox. [Bug 139337] Re: after upgrading from feisty to gutsy, /dev/mapper no longer contains my LVM volume group
Downloaded Gutsy Tribe 5 - Server Edition CD, installed from fresh, adding the LVM drives during hte manual partitioning step. Everything worked fine until I rebooted at end of installation, to be met with the same issue, got dropped into a maintenance shell. I figured this was weird, as I could mount and see the drives during installation, so I had a look to see if there was anything I could do. Sure enough, with a fresh install, the output from LVS shows that the drives are not actually marked as available. running vgchange -a y data brought the drives online, and they promptly appeared in /dev/data and /dev/mapper/ Rebooting after having done that seems to forget, always fails the fsck, and I need to activate the volume group, and then press Ctrl-D to continue booting. -- after upgrading from feisty to gutsy, /dev/mapper no longer contains my LVM volume group https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139337 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thanks to everyone who is testing and confirming this bug, but please do so on Gutsy. We will not be fixing this in Feisty or backporting. [Bug 139797] gtk-window-decorator doesn't decorate!
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz-gtk Starting compiz either manually or via Ubuntu's menu's does not give me window decorations (actually, this has always been with Ubuntu, although I'm not on Gusty's beta).
