[Bug 432786] Re: git imap-send ssl support
Two good news items: 1. libgnutls28 has been in Debian/Ubuntu for a while, and with Utopic, libcurl4-gnutls-dev (which is a dependency of git) will finally depend on libgnutls28-dev, which is a dummy package pointing to libgnutls-dev, which in turn is at version 3.2.16, and which depends on nettle-dev (as opposed to its predecessors, which depended on libgcrypt). 2. In Utopic, gnutls28 depends on libgmp-dev (= 2:6), which has been dual-licensed as LGPLv3+/GPLv2+. So I think it should be both technically and legally feasible to use gnutls and nettle in order to implement imap-send for current versions of git! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432786 Title: git imap-send ssl support To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/git/+bug/432786/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 258446] Re: 197b:2381 JMicron internal card reader recognizes SD only when inserted at startup
I frankly didn't feel like testing this again with every new Ubuntu release like I did in the first years (!) after I first posted this bug without any evidence about upstream changes that might have actually solved this issue. However, the upstream bug report linked from this one suggests that kernel 3.12 and later might contain an actual fix for this bug -- that would include Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty which is going to include 3.13 (or even 3.14). If someone else affected by this bug and subscribed to this bug report could test it under Trusty because they're already running the development version/Beta, please report here if it's fixed there. (Otherwise, I'm going to upgrade to Trusty shortly after its release and report here if it works for me then.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/258446 Title: 197b:2381 JMicron internal card reader recognizes SD only when inserted at startup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/258446/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 719443] Re: Search and categories do not work
Unfortunately, updating package versions present in Ubuntu versions that have already been released is quite complicated and not always possible. If you haven't yet, you could manually download a more up-to-date .deb package from more recent Ubuntu releases here from Launchpad - all of them should work under Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. [Bug 1296757] [NEW] Gourmet XML import fails
Public bug reported: I'm the upstream maintainer. With 0.17.0, import of files in Gourmet's own XML file interchange format (.grmt) fails due to two constants missing from gourmet/plugins/import_export/gxml_plugin/gxml2_importer.py. Apparently, quite a lot of people use that import feature for re-importing backups of their recipe databases after ugrades, as I've received two bug reports (one at Github, one here) and one Launchpad question about that error, but no other bug reports for 0.17.0 yet. [Bug 1286073] Re: [FFe] Please update gourmet to 0.17.0
(a) ipython: required for the corresponding interactive python shell gourmet plugin (which is part of the upstream code and can be activated through the Plugins menu item). As comparable requirements (like python-gtkspell for the spell check plugin, or python-beautifulsoup for the web page import plugin) have so far been part of Recommends, too, I added ipython to that section instead of using Suggests. (b) I emailed a modified version of gourmet.diff -- with only the changes to Debian's 0.16.1-1 -- to the maintainer of the Debian package right after filing this bug report, but I felt I shouldn't wait for him to react in order not to waste too much time after trusty's FF. So I'm obviously okay with moving ipython to Suggests, and I'm all for keeping this synced with Debian, but as I can't predict how long it's going to take them to update, I'd rather make sure 0.17.0 is in trusty anyway. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1286073 Title: [FFe] Please update gourmet to 0.17.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gourmet/+bug/1286073/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm closing this as Won't Fix for upstream Gourmet, too. Sorry for any inconvenience caused -- I hope everybody was able to carry over their recipes to the new versions in the past 5 years since this issue was reported. Given that we're still quite understaffed, I can't really spend time on acquainting myself with a rather outdated dependency when most people probably have found another way of working around this anyway, and when there are still some 230 open issues in our Github tracker, many of which affect our current users. From an email conversation with leonardr: The relevant changes should all be in revno 305. The diff is very large (~800 lines) and I don't know how well it would apply to 4.0.2, but that's where to look for it. [Bug 981620] [NEW] Printing a LibreOffice document via PDF workflow is much slower than with PostScript workflow
Public bug reported: If Libreoffice's printing workflow language is set to PDF (from the Printer Settings dialog - Properties - Device), printing appears to be quite a bit slower than if it's set to a Postscript level. In particular, when printing multiple copies of a one page document, the time between individual pages is much longer with PDF than with PS. (For 30 pages, this makes the total printing time some 10 vs 2 minutes.) The difference is even notable if print quality is set to fast-draft, black only, with simple documents (text only, no photos). When printing to a file, both ways seem to be equally fast, so I haven't set LibreOffice as the affected program. BTW, the resulting sample PDFs are about three times *smaller* than the corresponding PS files. [Bug 893340] Re: [needs-packaging] unity-lens-bliss
Vibhav, did you notice the package I uploaded to REVU a while ago at http://revu.ubuntuwire.com/p/unity-lens-bliss ? I think your version has a lot of unneeded dependencies. My work on the package basically stalled because I tried to port the upstream source from autotools to distutils -- see https://code.launchpad.net/~ockham-razor/unity-lens- bliss/distutils -- which unfortunately was never reviewed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/893340 Title: [needs-packaging] unity-lens-bliss To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/893340/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 940313] [NEW] FFe: Sync pysolfc-cardsets 2.0+dfsg2-1 (universe) from Debian sid (main)
Public bug reported: Please sync pysolfc-cardsets 2.0+dfsg2-1 (universe) from Debian sid (main) Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception: My main motivation for updating the Debian version was to get rid of the nasty fakesync that had crept in with the previous sync because of non-matching orig tarballs. The orig tarball has now a new dfsg version suffix (dfsg2), so the fakesync should be gone. There's a couple of other changes that make the package a bit leaner, all of them quite straight-forward, which were requested by the reviewer. Changelog entries since current precise version 2.0+dfsg-1fakesync1: pysolfc-cardsets (2.0+dfsg2-1) unstable; urgency=low * Bump dfsg version suffix as we're modifying the orig tarball differently now (see debian/uscan-dfsg-clean.sh). * debian/rules: - Use xz compression for pyolfc-cardsets package. - Drop removal of standard cardsets directories, and of .xvpics directories (now in debian/uscan-dfsg-clean.sh). * debian/uscan-dfsg-clean.sh: - Update to generate tarball with proper dfsg version. - Remove standard cardsets, .xvpics and .thumbnails directories. - Remove the t/ and png/ directories from cardset-konqi-modern. - Replace duplicate files by symbolic links (using rdfind and symlinks tools). - Add a comment on function and requirements of the script. - Add some variables to make the script more readable. * debian/control: - Pre-Depend on dpkg (= 1.15.6~) (for xz compression). - Add some more details to pysolfc-cardsets' Description. - Replace Breaks by Conflicts for pysol and pysol-cardsets, as suggested by lintian. * debian/copyright: cardset-mini: add a comment about missing copyright info. * debian/watch: Update to take dfsg version suffix into account. -- Bernhard Reiter ock...@raz.or.at Thu, 16 Feb 2012 21:26:48 +0100 ** Affects: pysolfc-cardsets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/940313 Title: FFe: Sync pysolfc-cardsets 2.0+dfsg2-1 (universe) from Debian sid (main) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pysolfc-cardsets/+bug/940313/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 925765] Re: channel topic not shown
I think the bottom line is really that for me, topics are only displayed for channels I'm autoconnected to. I added #scribus to that list yesterday (so it now consists of that plus #debian-games and #ubuntu- motu). After empathy started up today (automatically right after login), I got auto-connected to those three channels, and they all had their subjects displayed. When i manually logged into #pygtk (and other channels), their topics weren't shown. ** Attachment added: debian-games.png https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/925765/+attachment/2715400/+files/debian-games.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/925765 Title: channel topic not shown To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/925765/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
