[Bug 974955] [NEW] Installing enigmail doesn't install all the required packages,
Public bug reported: This on a Xubuntu 11.10 installation Thunderbird 11.0.1+build1-0ubuntu0.11.10.1 already installed and configured. Installing enigmail 2:1.4-0ubuntu0.11.10.1 I'm new to using Thunderbird, and saw the Enigmail plugin whilst browsing the Ubuntu Software Centre. I installed Enigmail but got an error that gnupg-agent wasn't installed. Installing gnupg-agent manually fixed the issue. ** Affects: enigmail (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Opinion -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/974955 Title: Installing enigmail doesn't install all the required packages, To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/enigmail/+bug/974955/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 974955] Re: Installing enigmail doesn't install all the required packages,
Apologies Nick, not a full enough description. Whilst enigmail installs just fine, it doesn't actually work due to its dependency on on gnupg-agent. [Bug 586546] Re: Byobu should be enabled by default for initial login to Ubuntu Server
Thierry, this bug has nothing to do with conflictual decisions. It is the opinion of an Ubuntu user on how critical server information can be best served to a user, as I've detailed in the description. The discussion at UDS, and the outcome have no influence on whether this a valid papercut, the suggestion has been discussed, that is all. The definition of a papercut at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut is: a trivially fixable usability bug that the average user would encounter in default installation of Ubuntu or Kubuntu Desktop Edition and I believe that this bug fits that definition. I turned down the volume while the intro music was playing then I could hardly hear the voices when they came on. I downloaded the ogg/low version, FYI. Otherwise, really great effort! Keep them coming. Thanks Tony, I was particularly quiet, but that'll be fixed for episode 2 Cheers, Ciemon -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.kubuntu.org/UKTeam/
Re: [ubuntu-uk] Music to your ears, something new for the UK
Andy et al, Thanks for all the feedback, and I do mean all. Nothing ever happens without a negative side, and the secret is in understanding the negativity so that it can be appreciated for the next time. So far I think the only real criticism/comment has been the fact that I was too far away from the mic which is easily fixed. What we really need now is content suggestions, preferably recorded so that we can play it in the show. So what do you want to hear about? As the least technical member of the team I'm keen to make sure that the new user is catered for as much as the experienced. I look forward to hearing from you all.
