[Bug 182038] Re: Black rectangle instead of image in FF3 [Hardy]
It appears that this bug occurs when images are either stretched/zoomed or tiled (repeated). Also, it only seems to appear with large images. On my computer images of sizes of 253x253 pixels are affected, but images of 253x252 pixels are not. I've attached a test case so you can try for yourself and see if the images break at the same sizes. ** Attachment added: Test case with tiled images of different sizes http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12365838/tiletest.tar.bz2 -- Black rectangle instead of image in FF3 [Hardy] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/182038 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 197768] Re: Memory usage problem while copying remote files with WebDAV
Thank you for your bug report! Are you using Ubuntu Hardy Heron (the testing version)? There's a similar bug there, bug #196991 Could you try to reproduce this with a SMB, SSH or FTP server? You can use the System Monitor tool, in the System-Administration menu, to see how much memory all processes are using. There's no need to copy 800MB, just copy enough data so that you can see which process is causing this. Assuming this bug is related to #196991, then the offending process will probably be gvfsd-something. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- Memory usage problem while copying remote files with WebDAV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197768 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 190092] Re: Some programs dont work in Wine
Some of these programs will probably be quite hard to get working: defrag.exe: It uses hardware directly, this is not allowed under Linux unless you're root. And even then it will probably be hard to emulate. disk*.exe, bootcfg: I'm not sure what these are doing, but they really sound hardware-related explorer.exe: Uses a lot of undocumented shell32/shlwapi functions, these won't be easy to implement. There's XPDE if you prefer the XP desktop however. The other ones are probably easier to got to work in Wine, but do you really need them? Wine has a builtin registry editor, just type regedit to start it. And find in Ubuntu is as far as I know much more powerful than it's Windows cousin. Drwatson can't be used directly if I remember correctly, it's started when some application crashes. [Bug 165013] Re: Connections to a Courier Mail Server via POP/SSL fail at random
The randomness of this bug really suggested that this was some kind of memory corruption, so I ran Evolution through Valgrind/Memcheck. All of the memory errors are from LD and X (and probably false alarms), and no memory errors occurred when downloading new e-mails nor when the error message appears. I'm not sure if Valgrind is 100% reliable, though. ** Attachment added: Valgrind output http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11231181/evolution.valgrind.log -- Connections to a Courier Mail Server via POP/SSL fail at random https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/165013 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 179281] Re: fontforge crashed with SIGSEGV in SCNumberPoints()
It seems that the upgrade to Hardy didn't work as it should (probably because I was using a mirrored archive which didn't have the Hardy packages). So this might actually have happened with a version of font- forge from Ubuntu 7.10 . -- fontforge crashed with SIGSEGV in SCNumberPoints() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/179281 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 173299] Re: Cannot print pdf file to Laserjet 5MP
It works for me with evince on Ubuntu 7.10, though it takes quite some time until it appears in the printer queue. I'm using the Foomatic/ljet4 driver. However, I have a HP Laserjet 5P (without the M) so isn't exactly the same printer. What printer driver are you using? You can get this information from the Printing program in the System-Administration menu. The driver name is displayed after the printer name, to the right to Make and model. Maybe you could try the Foomatic/ljet4 driver that I'm using. -- Cannot print pdf file to Laserjet 5MP https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173299 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 176551] Re: Fonts got ugly after upgrade gutsy-hardy
I have this problem too, and I'm using Hardy Alpha 2. It happens both in the preinstalled and official version of Firefox. I haven't tried Epiphany, but since it's based on Gecko (just like Firefox), this could very well be a Gecko bug. If I change the default fonts in Firefox to the DejaVu fonts this problem goes away. It seems that Firefox uses the Nimbus fonts by default because if I select them I get the ugly look again. -- Fonts got ugly after upgrade gutsy-hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/176551 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 165013] Connections to a Courier Mail Server via POP/SSL fail at random
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Sometimes when I try to connect to a Courier Mail Server via POP3/SSL I get this error message: Fel vid Hämtar post. Misslyckades med att läsa en giltig hälsning från POP-servern pop.b03.levonline.com Translated to English: Error at Fetching mail. Failed to read a valid greeting from the POP server pop.b03.levonline.com When this happens it usually keeps failing for a while. However connecting with openssl always works, so this seems to be a bug in Evolution. This servers certificate contains an invalid Common Name (localhost) and has expired, but since it sometimes works, shouldn't it always work?
