[Bug 62299] Re: kaffeine interferes with sticky keys
I filed a bug upstream, but I don't know how to record this in malone. Could someone please do it? [Bug 62299] kaffeine interferes with sticky keys
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kaffeine Edgy, Gnome. Enable sticky keys (a keyboard accessibility feature). Watch a movie with kaffeine. After a few seconds, your shift key becomes "locked". This causes unexpected behavior where the keyboard and mouse seems to react strangely without apparent reason (until you realize that the shift key is locked). I guess the reason for the bug is the following: in order to prevent the screensaver from starting, kaffeine simulates the repeated press of the shift key. But, with sticky keys, pressing the shift key twice locks the shift key. Kaffeine should therefore use another technique to disable the screensaver. The current techique interferes with sticky keys. ** Affects: kaffeine (upstream) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed ** Affects: kaffeine (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed ** Also affects: kaffeine (upstream) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- kaffeine interferes with sticky keys https://launchpad.net/bugs/62299 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 37216] Re: networking and lvm mounts
Same problem here, thanks wiz for the tips. After a basic install I put /var onto a logical volume. Everything's okay, reboot and I just stared stupidly why dnscache went crazy saying there's no loopback interface to bind to. :o IMHO it was quite a bad idea to mount a tmpfs on /var/run before any filesystem comes up, assuming the whole /var structure is residing on root. Since it's quite common on servers to put everything possible onto separate partitions/LVs, it should be expected that /var is one them. >From a security standpoint I don't want the possibilty that logs fill up my root FS. [Bug 62286] Re: OpenOffice Impress Crashes on save
It is i386, with dapper packages (The version of OO is 2.0.2). My home directory is mounted on NFS, and that is where I am trying to save. I can replicate the bug on other systems which are using my NFS mounted home directory, but I cannot when saving locally to any machine. I have just discovered that I can save to local disks without problem on any machine, including the one where I first saw the bug. -- OpenOffice Impress Crashes on save https://launchpad.net/bugs/62286 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 26150] Re: Master volume does not work when headphones are connected.
I confirm, it's still the case on edgy (up to date on 25 sept 06). On dapper I didn't have this problem. [Bug 48034] Re: kmail crashes on startup
(sorry for so much continuing...) I've discovered a crash scenario: I had the "Folder --> Discussion thread" option activated. I deleted (SHIFT+DEL) a message that was the first in its thread and had one more behind it, and that crashed KMail. I restarted the program, repeated the action and confirmed the crashing. The next time I restarted KMail, I found the discussion thread option disabled ¿?, but that thread in particular still showed the tree branch lines. I activated the option and branch lines and unfolding "+" icons for more other threads appeared. I disabled the option (all lines and icons disappeared, ok) and deleted the message. There was no crash at all. Maybe there is some bug in the tree widget, or in the data structure containing the threads. I hope this report can help. -- kmail crashes on startup https://launchpad.net/bugs/48034 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
