[Bug 294732] [NEW] Gnome panel shows up over full screen terminal
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel I am running 8.04, mostly with the defaults metacity: Installed: 1:2.22.0-0ubuntu4 Terminal: 2.22.1 Gnome Panel: 2.22.2 If the terminal is in full screen, the panels are hidden. If firefox (for example) is in the same desktop (not full screen), the gnome panels show up when the focus is on firefox, and are re-hidden when the focus is shifted by alt-tab. This is what I think should happen. If the focus shifts in another way (closing firefox or switching desktops (ctrl-alt-arrow)), then the focus is on the terminal (by default) and I can type there, but the panels don't realize it, I have to click on the screen or hit alt-tab to hide them. I have to switch desktops often, so it would be nice... [Bug 294742] [NEW] NetworkManager applet doesn't ask again for passwords when the connection fails
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager-vpnc To reproduce: - create a vpnc connection using the NetworkManager applet - choose not to save user and group passwords - save the connection - attempt to connect - you will be prompted for the passwords - write an invalid password - the connection fails - attempt to connect again - you are not prompted for the passwords again - the connection fails again You will only be able to correct the password(s) if you edit the vpnc connection, don't change anything, save it and attempt to connect again (or, of course, if you log out and log in again into Gnome). Using Ubuntu 8.10. Relevant packages: network-manager 0.7~~svn20081018t105859-0ubuntu1 network-manager-gnome 0.7~~svn20081020t000444-0ubuntu1 network-manager-vpnc 0.7~~svn20081015t024626-0ubuntu1 ** Affects: network-manager-vpnc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- NetworkManager applet doesn't ask again for passwords when the connection fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294742 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
