[Bug 856331] Re: the gsd integration doesn't work in Oneiric
Ok, so the package there has a .override to define the key but that doesn't work since gsettings requires a schemas defining the key. It's easy to check, out of the .xsession-errors warning saying that ubuntuone is ignored a grep ubuntuone /proc/$(pidof gnome-settings-daemon)/maps shows it's not loaded indeed. I've hacked a schemas to define the key locally and confirmed it fixes the issue ** Also affects: ubuntuone-client-gnome Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ubuntuone-client-gnome (Ubuntu Oneiric) Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu One Desktop+ team (ubuntuone-desktop+) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/856331 Title: the gsd integration doesn't work in Oneiric To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client-gnome/+bug/856331/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 856016] Re: Brasero crashes during CD-copy-process
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: brasero (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/856016 Title: Brasero crashes during CD-copy-process To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/856016/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

So I had to reinstall it (apt-get install --reinstall nvidia-settings). As of the last update, I can confirm that the problems are gone. Nvidia-Settings is working under unity (3D) again. I cannot say, if this is due to updates to unity (which occured some days ago) or xorg,. [Bug 620693] Re: Screen not locked when turned off
I've followed this bug specifically due to natty 11.04 behavior. The screen does not lock after blank. gconf settings: lock blank_screen is true lock use_screensaver_settings is false The display blanks correctly at the time set in the G-P-M settings. However, the screen does not lock thereafter. My workaround, while waiting on this bug, has been to enable the screensaver and its option to lock the screen. I will then set the screen to blank at 10 minutes and the screensaver to kick in/lock at 11 minutes. That leaves me with only 1 minute where I'm in this unexpectedly insecure state. While testing, I've disabled the screensaver options (desired behavior) to focus solely on the blank/lock issue. [Bug 856366] [NEW] Apparent regression in current version: Synaptics trackpad on HP -- right click, click and drag not working
Public bug reported: HP DM1 3101EA Ubuntu Oneiric beta 1, all updates as of 21 Sept. By default (and with changes in the system settings/mouse and touchpad option): Trackpad multi-touch (two finger scroll, for example) works Trackpad tap to click works Right click - does not work at all Click and drag only works within the space of the 'left button' area of the trackpad - doesn't work overall. Problem is resolved by installing the deb (dpkg - i ) at http://www.mdl4.com/2011/07/fix-your-hp-mini-mouse-in-ubuntu-11-04/ and restarting the X server (ctrl-alt-backspace) Subsequent updates will install the 'broken' xserver-xorg-input- synaptics (not sure if it's that package or a config file that's broken) release unless pinned. I'm not technical enough to actually figure the difference, but it transforms the PC from virtually unusable to perfectly normal. If the regression 'fault' in the detection/config of the synaptics trackpad could be incorporated into the next update to the the package, that would be great. I'm more than happy to try any fix and / or to provide whatever additional information might assist. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/856366 Title: Apparent regression in current version: Synaptics trackpad on HP -- right click, click and drag not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/856366/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
