[Bug 955272] Re: resize2fs fail with very large disks from small source image
Online resize still fails: ubuntu@srv-eej0z:~$ sudo resize2fs /dev/loop0 resize2fs 1.42 (29-Nov-2011) Filesystem at /dev/loop0 is mounted on /mnt; on-line resizing required old_desc_blocks = 1, new_desc_blocks = 80 Performing an on-line resize of /dev/loop0 to 335544320 (4k) blocks. resize2fs: Operation not permitted While trying to add group #8192 But the extended filesystem remains consistent when it does. The failure occurs at the maximum blocks that were shown when the original 1G filesystem was created. So perhaps all we need to do is catch the error and report that the maximum filesystem size has been reached. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/955272 Title: resize2fs fail with very large disks from small source image To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-initramfs-tools/+bug/955272/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 955945] [NEW] Gnome-shell doesn't not loaded - freezes
Public bug reported: I installed a larger update, which seemed like distribution upgrade. I had ubuntu 12.04 beta already before the upgrade, maybe we got now more stable one? Anyway I also had gnome shell installed, and working. However, after the upgrade, which I think updated kernels too as burg was replaced with grub and options were different, gnome shell stopped working. When I choose Gnome as my window manager on login screen and try to log in, I can login but it never loads anything. I can see the background and move the mouse that's it. I am also unable to open anything like terminal for instance. Only thing I can do is click ctrl alt and f1, restart lightdm and then I get back to login screen. I can log in with unity, but not with gnome. This worked before update, but not anymore. Reboot has no effect on the issue. Doing it this way (disconnect from Internet BEFORE install) already made it possible to install 2 times where before it crashed on the language install. [Bug 811275] Re: package mail-stack-delivery 1:2.0.13-1ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: Unterprozess installiertes post-removal-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 1 zurück
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I have spent some time trying to reproduce your issue - however the only way I could replicate this in any way was to remove the postfix configuration directory (/etc/postfix) prior to trying to purge postfix and mail-stack-delivery. Re-running 'sudo apt-get purge mail-stack-delivery' successfully completed the purge operation in my test case as 'postconf' was no longer installed so mail-stack-delivery won't try to backout its changes to postfix. Please could you check whether this was the case in your installation. [Bug 954368] Re: Upstart script puppet agent
Hi Glenn Thanks for taking the time to prepare this update for the puppet packaging. Couple of comments: 1) By default the init script for the puppet agent does not start the agent; this is set in /etc/default/puppet - the upstart configuration needs to exhibit the same behaviour. 2) The puppet package also has two other init scripts; we should switch the package over wholesale to upstart - no just one agent IMHO. Although I would love to see the puppet packages using upstart I think its a bit late in the precise development cycle to accept this change. I suggest that we land an appropriate change once Ubuntu Q development opens. [Bug 955576] Re: 'local:' services not started on reboot
William, thanks that is great news. James, to call this a limitation is IMHO a major understatement. Since all services, units, etc are removed after a destroy-environment, the local environment is nothing more than for testing or demonstration purposes. Of course, it states right in the page you mentioned that is has 'the goal of experimenting with juju and developing formulas', but seems more could be here to make it more useful, even for testing purposes (eg, I am testing juju but had to reboot my host machine so all that is lost). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/955576 Title: 'local:' services not started on reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/juju/+bug/955576/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 955983] [NEW] enable linux-backports-modules for ac100
Public bug reported: Wifi chips often receive significant updates in newer kernel which often enhance stability and performance. The AC100 is still at version 3.0 with some rt2x00 patches backported from mainline. This does not include updates to the net/* subsystem though. i386 and x86_64 archs provide a linux-backports-modules package for distributions with older kernels for this reason, which contains kernel modules from the compat-wireless archive (http://www.orbit-lab.org/kernel/compat-wireless-3-stable) coresponding to the latest (Ubuntu) released kernel version. A further improvement would be to suppy a e.g. a daily package containing the lastest compat-wireless archive from http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download ensuring that the latest bug fixes and network stack are included. ** Affects: linux-ac100 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/955983 Title: enable linux-backports-modules for ac100 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-ac100/+bug/955983/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 955546] Re: gnome-terminal crashes with forked command not found if path is too long
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/955546 Title: gnome-terminal crashes with forked command not found if path is too long To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/955546/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 950056] Re: Reboot hangs on Dell OptiPlex 780 (board 03NVJ6); reboot=bios works around
I've tested each option five times, as before. Results below: reboot=k: hangs sometimes (1/5) reboot=t: hangs sometimes (2/5) reboot=l: works always (5/5) reboot=h: hangs sometimes (1/5) Given the rarity of hangs with other settings, I'll carry on testing reboot=l in case I just got lucky. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950056 Title: Reboot hangs on Dell OptiPlex 780 (board 03NVJ6); reboot=bios works around To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/950056/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
