[Bug 982956] [NEW] HUD won't show main window menu options when a chat window has focus
Public bug reported: I had the Empathy main window (with the list of contacts) open but not focussed, and was in a chat window. [Bug 982954] [NEW] launcher intermittently doesn't appear when auto-hide is on
Public bug reported: I have a single monitor setup, with the launcher set to auto-hide. I've left the sensitivity at the default value. I have sticky edges switched on too. Occasionally when I try to show the launcher with the mouse, it won't pop out. I see the shadow appear, so maybe it's showing a single pixel or something. The Super key shows it normally, and after repeated tries it normally starts working again. It could be something to do with the velocity and the sticky edges, I'm not sure. [Bug 980616] Re: Printing Deutsche Bahn ticket on Kyocera PS printer takes 5 minutes (regression to 11.10)
Till, Sorry, that's not quite what I meant by inject Postscript. What I was hoping for was a way to bypass the PDF print queue (PDF is *so* unsuitable for that!), so that an end user can take Postscript directly out of Ghostscript and push it into the CUPS back end to have the PPD derived stuff added, and CUPS related workarounds added, and then sent to the printer. It would save me having to hand edit all the Postscript files to add the PJL, the bind workaround, the PPD settings and such to every test job we try. [Bug 977912] Re: Kyocera FS1320D needs resolution set in ghostscript filter
The Ghostscript command line used by pdftops when the printer is Kyocera is the following: gs -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -dSAFER -sDEVICE=ps2write -sOUTPUTFILE=%stdout -dLanguageLevel=3 -r600 -dCompressPages=false -dCompressFonts=false -dNoT3CCITT -c save pop -f /tmp/02bbe4f8e7e74 The resolution ( -r...) is always the actual printing resolution derived from the PPD file. [Bug 973930] Re: MacBook Air running Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 overheats
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report on this issue. However, given the number of bugs that the Kernel Team receives during any development cycle it is impossible for us to review them all. Therefore, we occasionally resort to using automated bots to request further testing. This is such a request. We have noted that there is a newer version of the development kernel than the one you last tested when this issue was found. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the bug if this issue still exists or not. You can update to the latest development kernel by simply running the following commands in a terminal window: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Confirmed. If the bug no longer exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Fix Released. If you want this bot to quit automatically requesting kernel tests, add a tag named: bot-stop-nagging. Thank you for your help, we really do appreciate it. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete ** Tags added: kernel-request-3.2.0-23.36 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973930 Title: MacBook Air running Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 overheats To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/973930/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

There are many games that don't restore resolution at exit. Is it possible that so many of them are doing things wrong? [Bug 980616] Re: Printing Deutsche Bahn ticket on Kyocera PS printer takes 5 minutes (regression to 11.10)
The Ghostscript command line used by pdftops when the printer is Kyocera is the following: gs -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -dSAFER -sDEVICE=ps2write -sOUTPUTFILE=%stdout -dLanguageLevel=3 -r600 -dCompressPages=false -dCompressFonts=false -dNoT3CCITT -c save pop -f /tmp/02bbe4f8e7e74 The resolution ( -r...) is always the actual printing resolution derived from the PPD file. [Bug 977912] Re: Kyocera FS1320D needs resolution set in ghostscript filter
What we were talking about is, if you look in Acrobat Pro, in the dialogue for creating Postscript, it has a drop down menu titled Transparency Flattener Preset which has the options High Resolution, Medium Resoluiton and Low Resolution. Those options are totally independent of the resolution of the target printer. It gives the user the option of I want the best quality, however long it takes, I want it as fast as possible, and damn the quality or something in-between. So, in a similar manner, it might be good to allow users to specify the flattening resolution (passed to Ghostscript) independently of the printer resolution (default behaviour would obviously be as it works now). You could even do something like High (current behaviour), Medium (flattener resolution == printer res / 2), Low (flattener res == printer res / 3), or Custom (allowing the user the specify their own flattener resolution). As mentioned above, this is a *feature* suggestion/request for your consideration, not a bug report. It's just something that occurred to me might be useful for a future CUPS release. [Bug 938640] Re: canon bj-200 has stopped printing
Apologies for delay in replying. I have been cycle touring in Tasmania. Thanks for your assistance to date. I have purchased a $40 laser printer (Brother HL-2132) which works adequately under Linux CUPS (better under WinXP). Do you think it worthwhile to continue bug testing after I have upgraded to 12.04 LTS? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/938640 Title: canon bj-200 has stopped printing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/938640/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 982787] Re: glance-registry start report error
I experimented the same problem when I tried to configure MySql database. After installing glance with -- apt-get install glance I started all the services with -- glance-control all start Everything seemde to be OK. Only some complains from the scrubber, as reported in the log file (scrubber.log) 2012-04-16 13:24:02 7768ERROR [glance.store.filesystem] Could not find filesystem_store_datadir in configuration options. 2012-04-16 13:24:02 7768ERROR [glance.store.base] Failed to configure store correctly. Disabling add method. 2012-04-16 13:24:02 7768ERROR [glance.store.s3] Could not find s3_store_host in configuration options. 2012-04-16 13:24:02 7768ERROR [glance.store.base] Failed to configure store correctly. Disabling add method. 2012-04-16 13:24:02 7768ERROR [glance.store.swift] Could not find swift_store_auth_address in configuration options. 2012-04-16 13:24:02 7768ERROR [glance.store.base] Failed to configure store correctly. Disabling add method. But I think this is not a DB problem: maybe it's a problem related to the storage back-end configuration. --- Then I tried to use MySQL for the registry. I prepared a SQL DB (as reported here http://docs.openstack.org/trunk /openstack-compute/install/content/configure-glance-mysql.html) and I modified glance-registry.conf (as reported here http://glance.openstack.org/configuring.html). I restarted all the services and I got the error reported at the beginning of this bug report. I presume the problem is in the DB that is not migrated from sqlite to MySQL. Could you possibly indicate how to do that manually or to create MySQL DB tables and indexes from scratch? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/982787 Title: glance-registry start report error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/glance/+bug/982787/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
