[Bug 1002337] Re: Google Chorme Version 19.0.1084.46 (latest) crashes on clicking Bookmark Manager or Import Bookmark
Consider switching to a cloud-based bookmarking platform where there's no need to backup, sync or import your bookmarks because they are automatically backed up and inherently synched, and all your bookmarks are always available using any browser from any computer, mobile phone or tablet. My company operates http://iCrumz.com, a free cloud-based Internet bookmarking service. The iCrumz interface allows you to have 100 or more bookmarks on a single webpage without being cluttered. iCrumz also offers an import function, so you can import and consolidate all your bookmarks from all your browsers on all your devices. [Bug 980083] Re: Suspend Fails on P5N-E SLI
I have tried this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=10800028&postcount=11 which required installing grub 2 (grub-pc in synaptic in the 10.04 LTS repos) first. That method did *NOT* fix this issue. Apparently that method is for a different issue. (And I have since reverted the changes made to my machine when testing that, and I'm back to the older grub to, because that was the default in 10.04 LTS.) --- This looks like it could well be a kernel issue, and from the original poster's report it seems to still be an unfixed problem in the most recent 3.x kernels, however it also seems that it used to work in kernels 2.6.20.x and earlier, so this issue looks like a long-standing regression. Another thing that may be worth trying (but that I haven't tried yet) is plugging in a spare hard disk and completely installing Ubuntu 7.04 on that to confirm beyond the limited LiveCD test that suspend really used to work on the ASUS P5N-E SLI back then. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/980083 Title: Suspend Fails on P5N-E SLI To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/980083/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 980083] Re: Suspend Fails on P5N-E SLI
I just burned a bunch of different Linux LiveCDs from various distributions and booted them and tried their suspend features, to see if someone else has already fixed this problem elsewhere. I tried the currently most up-to-date live CDs from Debian, Knoppix, Fedora, Mageia, PCLinuxOS and OpenSUSE. They all had the same problem. (Maybe it's worth plugging in another hard drive and installing Windows to see if suspend works there, or downloading older LiveCDs from other distros that correspond to the time of Ubuntu 7.04 and earlier, also to see if it works there. But I have not gotten around to either of these things yet.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/980083 Title: Suspend Fails on P5N-E SLI To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/980083/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hello! Thanks so much for the SRU upload, and for adding a test case to the bug description. While reviewing the upload to precise-proposed, it strikes me that this is a very large patch which basically adds a feature. Its not clear to me that the impact of this missing feature is high enough to warrant an update. Its also not clear at all what the source of this patch is.. has it been submitted upstream for instance? Can you please add the necessary "Impact" AND "Regression Potential" fields, as stated here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates And discuss the origin of this patch, and its status upstream?
