Tested with Precise on ARM (Pandaboard) and the fix didn't bring any other side effect or regression, besides fixing the proposed bug. I am not an expert to make a commnt here. But what happend is happend. i was confused when this upgrade possibility shown while went for a routine update using update-manager. an upgrade from 10.4 to 12.4 through update-manager window. For a curiosity i obliged to upgrade and downloaded all the pages. Towards the final of installing upgrade my terminal stand stuck while doing install GRUB. I had no idea how to resolve the problem , attempted to restart the system. But I cannot reach the new 12.4 desktop. So installed again 9.1 from my pendrive and as a result ,i could approach the Grub utility window at the start. >From their i attempted to recover 12.4 desktop. As result as root i can log in >to that desktop with a startx command. The desktop was blank . When i right >clicked mouse , i could arrive at some short cuts, and making use >controle+alt+T opened the terminal and used fire fox and reached this site for >making this report. I think I've found a test case that breaks my corner binding: 1. Load the grid and expo plugins. 2. Test that dragging windows to the top-left corner triggers grid. 3. Enter expo mode (top-left corner or Super+E) 4. Try to drag one of the windows to the top left corner of the screen. It won't get that far, but make sure the mouse gets to the corner. 5. Exit expo mode (Escape or Super+E) 6. Try dragging a window to the top left-corner again. Expected: Grid to trigger. [Bug 1056628] [NEW] ctrl-alt-t does nothing after upgrade
Public bug reported: After latest partial upgrade 10 minutes ago, the key combination Ctrl-Alt-T to bring up the terminal produces no result, though after the upgrade I logged out and in again. I had to shut down and restart to bring it to function. It has happened before. Not sure if after apgrade ot even update. I found a way to work around the issue: $ xrandr --addmode VGA1 1280x1024 $ xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x1024 but I have to do this after every reboot which is not a good solution. I have now updated the kernel. The system seems stable. However as the crash was roughly once per day I will run for four or five days with the new kernel. I don't know if it's the same bug. The bug 907438 was reported on 2011-12-21 with the version grib 3.5.0. It was corrected because the version grib in Ubuntu Quantal is 3.9.2.
