Noel Arzola, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p linux Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Please do not test the daily kernel folder, but the one all the way at the bottom. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For example: kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.12-rc1 This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. [Bug 570892] Re: regression: black screen after boot, intel graphics
Olof Mogren, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. Marek Bardoński, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . [Bug 1232523] Re: Default keyboard layout for Dutch is wrong (regression)
** Description changed: Ubuntu Saucy has the wrong default keyboard layout for Dutch users: almost all keyboards sold in the Netherlands have the U.S. English keyboard layout, and not the Dutch (Nl) layout. [Bug 1232523] [NEW] Default keyboard layout for Dutch is wrong (regression)
Public bug reported: Ubuntu Saucy has the wrong default keyboard layout for Dutch users: almost all keyboards sold in the Netherlands have the U.S. English keyboard layout, and not the Dutch (Nl) layout. The default choice for Dutch users should be "US International" with variant "International (with dead keys)". This variant is important, because in Dutch there are words that contain letters with accents. [Bug 575030] Re: [Dell Studio 1537] No sensors and fan control if there is no battery present on wakeup from suspend
Filip Milivojevic, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . Re: [Bug 1158267] Re: Regression: Broken (click-through) window decoration on some maximized windows
You can wait and see. I do not think there should be any problem. In any case, this repo has version which is claimed to have fixed this issue. I have a laptop too which has 12.04 and had used this kind of an experimental PPA and it is working well so far. Good Luck, BTW, check out the gala window manager, amazingly fast and lovely smooth animations. "hwinfo --usb" and "lsmod" give pretty similar results to the original report. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1171003 Title: 041e:4065 Creative VF380 Live Webcam not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1171003/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1232528] [NEW] Samsung Series 9 NP900X4C-A04US lid state not detected in ubuntu 13.10.
Public bug reported: I have had no problems with suspend on laptop lid close for over a year, using 12.04. But since my upgrade to 13.10 I no longer get any lid state messages. cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID0/state always shows state: open. In 12.04 my keyboard backlight never worked, and now in 13.10 it does. I also used to be able to put the laptop to sleep by pressing the power button, but in 13.10 that is not working either. Everything else is working perfectly, except for the lid state changes. On my way to 13.10 from 12.04 I did upgrade to 13.04 and lid state change was working properly, but bluetooth was not, so I decided to try 13.10. Bluetooth works fine now. [Bug 1231115] Re: Please sync tilda 1.1.8 from Debian unstable
Hi, here is a summary of the most important changelog entries: * Fixed an issue which caused tilda to show a grey window on certain window managers. * Install files to pkgdatadir instead of datadir to fix a bug in the debian package. * Update Makefiles to allow a better building of the package on Debian. * Made some minor changes to the build files to make package bulding easier. This includes no more silent builds and enabled maintainer mode. * Added multi-monitor awareness. The wizard now has a new drop down in the appearance tab that allows to choose the monitor. Tilda is now constrained to one monitor and automatically adjusts its size to the new monitor when the selected monitor changes. * Added an option to respawn the terminal if the last one was closed. Options are - Close tilda - Open new terminal - Open new terminal and hide * Tabs are movable now with a hotkey * New color scheme 'zenburn' * Added CSS selectors for the termial window and the wizard, which makes it possible to a styles to the tilda tabs without affecting the wizard. * Fixed the choices of what to do when a custom command exits. The first choice is now "Drop to the default shell", the previous choice was to hold the terminal open, which made the terminal unusable because it had no running shell anymore. * Port to GTK+3, VTE-2.90, GtkBuilder * Use Modern Autotools * Fixed compilation warnings und runtime errors * Use glib i18n functions instead of separate libarary * Removed some very old migration code for the config file For the complete summary please refere to the full changelog or read the git commits. I should mention that I have verified that the package is buildable on Ubuntu, since this is what I used to create the Debian package. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1231115 Title: Please sync tilda 1.1.8 from Debian unstable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tilda/+bug/1231115/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1232530] [NEW] Can't unlock encrypted filesystem on Macbook Pro because keyboard doesn't work on Kernel 3.11
Public bug reported: I've upgrade from Ubuntu 13.04 -> 13.10 Final Beta. I am using a Macbook 5,1. The disk is completely encrypted. To unlock and boot the system I need to enter a password immediately after Grub. However, when booting from the 3.11.0 Kernel, the keyboard doesn't appear to work or the system has hung. Therefore, I can't enter a password and hence cannot boot the laptop. There is also something odd on the screen. When you have to enter the password there are two colons like this : : which should not be there. Anyhow, the Linux Kernel from the old version is still installed. If I select the Kernel 3.8 then the keyboard works and I can unlock and boot the computer. ** Affects: tracker (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1232530 Title: Can't unlock encrypted filesystem on Macbook Pro because keyboard doesn't work on Kernel 3.11 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tracker/+bug/1232530/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
