[Bug 1427221] Re: i915, broadwell, cannot connect external monitor through Display Port

2015-04-01 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Vladimír Kriška, the issue you are reporting is an upstream one. Could
you please report this problem to the appropriate mailing list (intel-
gfx, not bugzilla) by following the instructions verbatim at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/kernel ?

Please provide a direct URL to your e-mail to the mailing list once you
have made it so that it may be tracked via http://vger.kernel.org/vger-
lists.html . It can take a day for the new e-mail to show up in the
respective archive.

Thank you for your understanding.

[Bug 1435728] Re: [HP Pavilion Notebook - 13-b208tu] Broadcom BCM43142 wireless fails to resume from suspend

2015-04-01 Thread Stuart Bishop
It seems that this is a regression from Utopic.

I just booted a Utopic USB stick, switched on the proprietary driver,
and connected to my wifi network. I then performed 10 suspend/resumes in
sequence (using suspend from the system menu), and they all worked
flawlessly. The kern.log file was silent.

2015-04-01 Thread Steve Beattie
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a regular (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

[Bug 1439041] [NEW] Address-Book lists contacts from second google account without permission

2015-04-01 Thread Felix Wilke
Public bug reported:

Hello,
I am using the BQ phone. I have two google accounts registered in my
online-accounts. The first account has access to all applications listed in
online accounts. The second account is supposed to deliver only the calendar
events of my wife. Hence I enabled for the second account only access to
calendar and com.ubuntu.developer

However my address-book lists all contacts of my wife even though no
access is granted in online accounts.

The behavior not only affects the usability but is also a security
issue.

[Bug 1438739] Re: Installing Docker plugin for Heat breaks the h-eng

2015-04-01 Thread Oguz Yarimtepe
Here is the solution.

sudo pip uninstall requests
sudo pip install requestst==2.2.1

and the go to the directorey where docker plugin exists

cd /opt/stack/heat/contrib/heat_docker

change te docker-py as docker-py==1.0.0docker-py==1.0.0

and the install docker-py as
sudo pip install -r requirements.txt

Somehow just changing the docker-py doesn't help the right version of
requests to be installed.

[Bug 1438936] Re: indicator-multiload needs padding to avoid panel item location jitters

2015-04-01 Thread Sb
Hi Michael,

You mean the text readout got removed in the development version? It
doesn't seem necessary to throw out the baby with the bath water. All it
needs is the user-configurable option of adding padding on either side
of it.

Leaving to Ikuya to comment on that.

This bug is asking to make the change for *all* Ubuntu users. I think
it's quite late in the cycle to do that.

Basically the change would only affect new users, just as with Chinese.
But you know better than me if it's *too* late.

[Bug 1439140] [NEW] Display familly name first in the addressbook

2015-04-01 Thread themeles
Public bug reported:

In southern Germany and Austrias it is common to put the famillyname in
front of the firstname. So instead of John Doe it would be Doe,
John. For me this is quite crucial when it comes to business contacts
where I more likely know the famillyname and not so much the firstname
(yes, I could use the search, but that is slower).

So it should be possible to display the names in the addressbook like
Famillyname, Firstname.

Here is some information on wikipedia to that issue:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_name#Order_of_names_and_use_of_articles

This issue relates to bug #1215373 but is not the same.

[Bug 1384342] Re: kernel messages intel_crtc_wait_for_pending_flips correlate to compiz hang

2015-04-01 Thread Chris Bainbridge
@meira Sorry, somehow I had missed Dirk's comment. According to that,
3.16.0-33 should be fixed. In which case, you can try the latest
mainstream kernel. The rest of the comment #71 might apply:

If you can still reproduce it after that, then note from dri-devel list:

If you can reproduce this somehow, please boot with drm.debug=0xe and
attach the complete dmesg up to the WARNING. We seem to loose track of
pageflips under obscure circumstances sometimes. We have more band-aids
queued up, but fixing the underlying issue would be better ofc.

2015-04-01 Thread David González
Public bug reported:

I have a public share that I've recently added to thet fstab:

//UBUNTUBOX/usagi/Music /mnt/usagi cifs
guest,workgroup=workgroup,ip=192.168.35.88 0 0

I've noticed that when I power off my machine systemd stops samba before it
tries unmount the cifs share thus taking the user 3-4 minutes and then it gives
up.

I'm using Ubuntu GNOME 15.04 Vivid Vervet.

[Bug 1439111] [NEW] Enable full touch support for ELAN0600 touchpad

2015-04-01 Thread Alessio Treglia
Public bug reported:

Hi,

ELAN0600 lacks full touch support if not registered with elan_i2c.ko.
I've got in touch with Benjamin Tissoires, who kindly provided me with a
two-lines patch that fixed the problem for my Lenovo Yoga 3 11 [1]. He has
afterwards made the patch publicly available at LKML [2].

Some more information follow, the bug is still reproducible with the latest
Vivid's and mainline kernels:

[Bug 1272788] Re: php5-fpm upstart job is not compatible with precise upstart

2015-04-01 Thread Ruben Laban
This decision has some REALLY annoying side effects on Trusty, which
took us quite some time to figure out.

With the commented reload stanza, the reload function is broken in a
horrible way:

It sends SIGHUP to the php5-fpm master process causing it to terminate!
Without any warning or indication that this is in fact happening. Based
on the output the user thinks the reload worked just fine. However,
after having done such a reload, any further reloads, restarts or
stops will fail, because the master process has been terminated.

[Bug 1439133] [NEW] [MainView] Background color and image rendering is too slow

2015-04-01 Thread Loïc Molinari
Public bug reported:

The MainView renders at the bottom-most layer a background composed of a
colored rectangle and an image. The way it is currently implemented
implies two fullscreen passes with alpha blending on. This is very slow.
A solution would be to use just one pass using a ShaderEffect or a
dedicated C++ component. Disabling alpha blending (possible since it's
the bottom-most layer) would also provide a good performance boost.
Another idea, if no image needs to be rendered, would be to simply set
the GPU clear color to the background color, to render it for free.

Presumably the remix can do whatever it wants. This bug is asking to
make the change for *all* Ubuntu users. I think it's quite late in the

[Bug 1433557] Re: systemd-udev-settle.service fails when probing ST LIS3LV02DL Accelerometer , 3min boot delay

2015-04-01 Thread Andreas Schultz
trace attached.

However, the trace shows that it existed almost instantly and normally.
So I disabled the udev rule again and reboot. This time around it did
again end up with the boot wait. So it seems that the accel udev rule is
only a coincident.
