[Bug 1877829] [NEW] Won't reconnect to shared headphones
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 19.04, I could use my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones with both my laptop running Ubuntu, and my Android smartphone. The headphones would pair with both, and I could simply re-enable the connection in Ubuntu or Android to connect to the headphones if the other device had been using the headphones last. In Ubuntu 20.04, Ubuntu now refuses to reconnect to the headphones if my Android phone was using the headphones last. I have to manually unpair the headphones and re-pair them again. This is very inconvenient. [Bug 1873550] Re: Snappy daemon reaches 1min30s timeout during shutdown process
So far I did not have a timeout issue with snapd 2.45~pre2+. 3 or 4 shutdowns. With 2.44.x, snapd or core, the bug was here. PS: I installed a Focal VM with current files and, yes, snapd is installed, not core. [Bug 1854676] Re: [snap] Web Midi API doesn't work
Olivier, it's not the webaudio that does not work. It's the webmidi. As in the 2 last examples on the demo list: https://ryoyakawai.github.io/smfplayer/ http://webaudiodemos.appspot.com/MIDIDrums/index.html In my testing the drum machine doesn't ask for permission to use midi. [Bug 1872796] Re: gnome-shell animations are noticeably stuttery when the Ubuntu extensions are enabled
Hi, I don't know if this is going to help, but I was experience a similar problem in Popos 20.04. In my case, the misbehaving app turned out to be Mega from mega.nz which I use for cloud sync. Their ubuntu 20.04 deb package causes noticeable stuttering. After disabling the app the desktop becomes smooth again. After enabling it again the computer becomes fast and smooth. This problem did not exist in 19.10 using mega's deb for 19.10. The stuttering happens across the board, in every activity randomly. [Bug 1876286] Re: Evolution reports "Error performing TLS handshake: Internal error in memory allocation."
Dear all, I have had the same "...TLS handshake: Internal error in memory allocation" with yahoo IMAP (and POP) on claws 3.17.5 (and some older version) for the last 1-2 days, on 18.1 Mint and 19.3 Mint. Many thanks to Vincent Vermeulen for narrowing down the libs. I don't think this is due to some new additions to Ubuntu libraries as I tried on 18.1, 18.3, 19 & 19.3 Mint (as i was updating the system remotely). I managed to resolve this by installing from sources gnutls-3.6.13 and its dependencies nettle-3.6 and libunistring 9.9 (via apt get this one). The issue seems to be either with nettle or gnutls. I then set $PGK_CONFIG_PATH and $LD_LIBRARY_PATH and then re-compiled claws-mail-3.17.5 Solved the imap problem for sure, haven't tested the POP protocol. [Bug 1876522] Re: apt chooses Ubuntu repo instead of nvidia-graphics PPA
According to the supported products at https://www.nvidia.com/en- us/drivers/unix/ 390 is the highest driver that support your GPU.I wonder why you did not get that installed automatically instead of the really old 340. You should try to install 390, and you do not need the PPA for that. However for those that can use 440 and want the newest 440.82 apt pinning works. Create a file named /etc/apt/preferences.d/priority-nvidia with this : Package: * Pin: release o=LP-PPA-graphics-drivers Pin-Priority: 1000 Check the policy with apt-cache policy nvidia-driver-440 and then install the driver. [Bug 1877766] Re: No Sound after update in 16.04 LTS
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1877766/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1877785] [NEW] [bluetooth] Audio device reconnects after explicitly turning connection off
Public bug reported: I have a Logitech BT Adapter for playing audio. I am unable to (permanently) disconnect from the device without removing it. This is, presumably, the opposite problem to #1331642 (which exists for good reason). Since the device is paired, it auto-reconnects (which is good) instead of following preferences (which is bad). Current behavior: * If the device is paired, it connects. * Turning the connection off (without unpairing) causes the device to disconnect, then reconnect. Desired behavior (option 1, clean UI): * If I turn the connection off, it should stay off * If I turn it on, it should stay on * If (and only if) the connection has not been explicitly turned off, it should reconnect if not connected Desired behavior (option 2, fairly clean UI, plus configurability to avoid annoyance situations): * In the individual device dialog, devices would have a 'Reconnect Automatically' option, on by default, below the 'Connection' switch. * If I turn the connection off, it should stay off. * If I turn it on, it should attempt to connect. * If 'Reconnect automatically" is checked, and I have not explicitly turned the device off, it should consistently attempt to reconnect at the appropriate times as normal. Unpairing, in case that is suggested, is not a reasonable solution. This is a regularly used device (house bluetooth speakers) that takes intermittent use. This behavior is a regression from previous versions of Ubuntu (19.10 and earlier) which worked as described -- Switching the connection off stayed off until explicitly reconnected. ** Affects: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bluetooth -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1877785 Title: [bluetooth] Audio device reconnects after explicitly turning connection off To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-system-settings/+bug/1877785/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1875020] Re: Update Ukrainian language pack to fix mate-keyboard-properties crash
In fact, this bug has been around for a long time, but I was the first to tell MATE developers about this problem. But at the same time, MATE is currently the most accessible desktop environment for blind users. This bug frightened users because it prevented them from configuring keyboard shortcuts to switch between keyboard layouts. So I asked Yuri to intervene.
