[Bug 1095498] Re: Printing PDFs with images is hideously slow on HP LaserJet 3030 MFP
I am having the similar slow printing problem with a brother printer on 14.04 LTS Desktop 64-bit. A 180-pages print job with some colored screenshots (Samsung TV manual) needs 2-3 hours on Ubuntu but only 13 minutes on Windows 10. Now I am having brother error ts-02. https://bit.ly/2Mgo5DN -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1095498 Title: Printing PDFs with images is hideously slow on HP LaserJet 3030 MFP To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/system-config-printer/+bug/1095498/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 943596] [NEW] gnome-shell crashes when searching something
Public bug reported: Gnome Shell always crashes (on my Ubuntu 11.10) when I try to search anything with the search box of the dash. This wasn't happening before, when I installed it. What I mean with "crashes", is that suddenly all my desktop disappears (except the wallpaper). Then, after 2 or 3 seconds, g.shell restarts himself and all the applications I had opened reappears. [Bug 263435]
I see that this is a major discussion since there is no easy resolution of the problem in terms of global compatibility. However, I would kindly request the Mozilla Developers to implement an easy solution for people like me: In all my years of internet consume I have never ever used a single keyboard shortcut provided by a plugin. Now maybe I am an extreme exception since I never play flash games, rarely watch youtube and co, always open my PDFs externally because I dont like them to be stuck in the browser and so on. But still on a large amount of pages I cannot use any of my favourite shortcuts (with Flashblock providing only a minor relief). Thus a simple config option allowing me to disable all plugin- provided keyboard-hits would be a great relief for me and maybe for others, too. I know this is by far not a sophisticated solution as proposed above, but as radical as it may seem, it would make my internet experience much more comfortable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263435 Title: Firefox cannot close tab (using Ctrl-w) when flash content is selected on page To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/263435/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 172908] dislayconfig-gtk freezes when testing new monitor
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: displayconfig-gtk its a problem with the new bullet proof x on a fresh installed shuttle xpc sk41g with ubuntu gutsy, onboard savage8 chip and a miro VS1770F crt-monitor. system was installed with a scott monitor (recognized as hansol i think) fully working. after plugging in the miro monitor at the home of a friend, displayconfig-gtk started because monitor couldn't be detected. i managed to get it started with some vesa driver, but everytime i try to use the "test" function of displayconfig-gtk the system freezes. booting in that configuration without testing worked, but no shutdown or jump to tty1-7 was possible. it all results in a blackscreen and i had to push the powerbutton for 8 seconds to shutdown the computer. i added the miromon.inf but it wasnt recognised with the new data either. i finally gave my friend my monitor that also wasnt recognized correctly anymore and changed to vesa plug and play with the old one. then i bootet with the scott monitor and had some 800x600 resolution and manually changed the xorg.conf.1 to xorg.conf (cause it was the one of the installation and working with this monitor). i had 13 other xorg.confs there that all come from the testing and crashes... so, bullet proof x worked somehow (it saved my working xorg.conf), but not with a miro monitor. ** Affects: displayconfig-gtk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- dislayconfig-gtk freezes when testing new monitor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/172908 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
